Gmax Preview Rendering Issue

Hi, hopefully this is the right thread for technical issues related to B.A.Ting. I have checked out the B.A.T Mega FAQ however my issue isn't described in there.

Along to the issue.... Recently ive been using gmax to create my first ever model for SC4. However when exporting it, or preview rendering Some parts of the model particularly parts which are under 1 meter in size disappear or are distorted (However this is only on East view, Any other view and its fine). I've tried rendering under draft quality and then under High quality to see if this would change the outcome but it hasn't.

Below are pics showing East view, Perspective and Northview. As u can see the issue only arises under east view. I know i could avoid issues maybe if i created these objects as props however some of whats being distorted is relevant to the structure i.e the truss at the front of the building.

If anyone knows this issue, or a way around it suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

and if this topic post is in the wrong spot, if a mod could move it that would be appreciated as well. Thankyou

*Sorry I've just realised this should be in the troubleshooting section.

I don't know if I'll help you, but it was happening when I was using Sketchup, are you using it? When I was importing to Gmax it wasn't recognizing some textures, so I started to do all the things only on Gmax and now it's ok.

I initially imported a sketch up model into gmax, and began building my model next to it using it for reference. However i deleted the  sketch up model early on in the dev process once id achieved the general structure. (Spent so far about 25 hrs on it). I trawled around and found an article saying that simcity has an issue with things created in gmax under .2 or 20 centimetres, i.e it will either distort or be highly pixelated. The article was in reference to making chain link fencing.

So Im going to make the sections a little larger and see if that fixes the issue for now.

Thanks for your suggestion Schriefer. Ill also try starting a new project and see if it renders on East view with objects under 1meter down to .1 if it fixes the issue that would suggest the other model is probably broken due to the initial sketch up import.

Alright, but I'm not an expert on BATing, you know, I'm learning yet. I recommend you to post your issue here, maybe the experts can help you better.
