Nice small town! The Supreme hates traveling (since it usually leads to a trip to the vet) but I do have an idea for you. PM me and I'll share it with you,

Welcome back to Region of Salem everyone. Today we will be visiting Edwardsville-Salem area on the mainland. The rest of the trip on Baker Islands will continue at a later date. This will be a two part update as I have a lot of pictures to show.

Today is a momentous occation as we open up Edwardsville-Salem Regional Hub Airport. Delagates from Schulmania and a ton of news reporters arrive at the airport to open the airport and to follow the delagates around.. Edwardsville is a suburb of Salem and lies just east of Salem. With a population of about 20,000 (city tile population is about 41,000. Salem covers the other 21,000 of the population). Schulmanator: Thank you.

The airport is a regional hub for Nyan Airlines connecting Region of Salem to Schulmania with two dedicated gates for the airlines.

Flight 16 from Schulmania now arriving and taxing to the gate. Delagates from Schulamnia are onboard. "Please have your passports and related papers ready for customs and Welcome to Region of Salem."

Briars Hill Memorial Cementary. The cementary is located to the south of the airport in the Briars Hill subdivision.

Ferry Terminal for Edwardsville and eastern part of Salem. Sofar no development has reached this area as there are still a big forest between here and the city.

Edwardsville-Salem Interchange. Going west, you will reach downtown Salem, north leads you to Salem Hills area of Salem, and south/east leads you to rural Region of Salem. Salem is to the left while Edwardsville is to the right. The airport is to just the south of this picture.

I welcome the Schulmania delagates to Region of Salem and thank you for coming to the grand opening to Edwardsville-Salem Regional Hub Airport (ESRH).

Next update, we will continue with Edwardsville. Until then, enjoy your visit to Region of Salem.

I am sure the Countess and her entourage will have a lovely time. Is Salem interested in full diplomatic relations?

    Looking good!

    Dear sir/madam/whoever will read this!

    This profile is now defunct.

Computer problems and issues with accessing my Imageshack account meant My SC4 CJ Scrapbook was lost and utterly irretrievable. This setback put me off SC4 for many months.

Apologies for the inconvenience and for the lost pictures.

But that SC4 itch did not go away and it had to be scratched! I have started afresh with a new account here- The British Sausage

The URS is a spiritual successor to the SC4 CJ Scrapbook.

With this update this will be the last time I visit my original Simtropolis account- admin/mods feel free to remove it or do whatever you need to do. I have no further use for the Ln X (BLANKBLANK) account.

With regards, Miles Saunders-Priem aka. Ln X aka. The British Sausage

Today I will only be able to do replies as I am busy with work (working all week and not next weekend) plus I am busy getting ready for vacation in about 2 weeks from now (laundry, packing, car upkeep). Happy Fourth of July (early) and Happy Canada Day (for all the Canadian readers).

Ln X= Thank you. Everything turned out well.

Schriefer= Thank you. The airport actually turned out better than what I expected it to be. Now I have some know how when I build the International Airport soon.

Hester= I am a cat person. Try to imagine my interaction with royal feline. I would try to keep her for myself, but I would not do that.

Until Mid July (when the next update will come), Enjoy your visit to Region of Salem.

Well everyone, I am back from vacation but I do not have an update ready yet. I have been relaxing since returning from Nebraska (USA) on Tuesday (left on Friday for vacation). I will most likely have an update ready next weekend. See you around. JKB

To all of my readers. As of Friday, July 25th, 2014; I got fired from my job that I held on to for 13 years and since then I have been looking for a new job and I have been busy with that than playing the game. I promise to have an update up and running as soon as possible.

Reply: CatapillarKing, For me it takes practice and time. I usually go with the flow and how I feel when I work on a city tile. Plus I do my best and everyone else has a different building style.

To my readers, I have found a new job, but it will take me around the USA and I will not have a n update ready for about 1 month or so. I start on Monday. From today onward, Region of Salem will be inactive until I get some time free. Thank You All

Replies: Hester and Schriefer and Sendarrow, Thanks.

Well, I am gonna make this short as I am still out driving and working. Replies= Jester, thanks for the congrats and the best wishes. Caterpillarking, thanks also for the best wishes. Haljackey, I usually take pride in my road and highway setups, but that airport is an accomplishment and a feat in itself. It took me about couple of hours to build. Boom box gamer, thank you. I live in America and I take clues from Google Earth and my travels. Plus, I usually go with my gut and my mind on how things should go together. Hester (again), well said my friend, well said. I tend to go with the flow. The towns and cities I build, tend to be somewhat repetitive but with some twists in the theme, just like in real life. From Utah (temporary), keep reading, and enjoy your stay at Region of Salem. Wide Open Spaces, Beautiful Scenery, And Friendly People Await You At Region Of Salem. JKB

Yeah, I'm building a Minnesota/Dakota themed region based on stuff I found on Google maps. This is a big inspiration to me :)

Good looking stuff.  I love the look of the RealRailways.  You really like winding them through your towns.  Your lakefront/seaside towns also look really nice from a distance.  You seem to use the gradual curves but sometimes you don't.  I would suggest trying to use those gradual curves whenever possible, especially with railroads and in the rural areas where space isn't an issue.  Keep it up!  Good luck with work.
