I don't know :S

I think it looked familiar because it was on the page, just higher up.

Oslo T-Bane fits the description but there are far too many stations in that network... unless you have just done the middle section of the network?

Sorry to keep you wondering about this - I did try and leave you clues!

Nicely done.

I saw that map and instantly was thinking about one of my circular maps. I managed to fit all the metro lines on a single arc except the brown line. Obviously the TGV lines were not as easy.

Thanks, although not super-practical.

I like a lot of things about your map, particularly for a first effort. I like the grey for the islands, and the blue for the water. I don't love the yellow for the zone lines - it is very hard to see against the blue.

I think that depending on what you want the map for, you could change some things to make it easier to use. For instance, if you care about passengers using it, you don't need all the little twists and turns. If it is more about 'where are the lines in my city' then your map is better for that.

Something along these lines could work to make it simpler for passengers (I haven't had time to add the islands, which I think are important):

You have lots of options about where to place the TGV lines, as it doesn't matter to the passengers exactly where they run geographically.

Just some thoughts.

That's right, the map was more meant to be geographically correct. I realized the map being complex for passengers, especially around Subile. Your layout is indeed easier to read.

What color would you suggest for the zonal borders in my map?

I think I'll be updating the map soon as some things have already changed (the Central Transit Hub has become one, GLR 6 is ready and GLR 7.. well, isn't).

I'm not sure, really. I'd have to play around. One option is a thin black line which will be easy to see against the blue and the grey. Orange works well but looks odd with that being  aline color. Another option might be to darken the water color.

And time for my next mystery map!!

What is this?

Can't quite put a finger on the latter map but it's familiar, but anyways, here's my Seahaven bus map. Also includes streetcars.

I should certainly put more stops, or point out that there are a LOT of bus lines doubling each other - but this was rather okay back then. Now, with post modern urban methods and economic problems, not so much. :)

@ Lyhoko Leaci - your map looks very professional. Nice work.

@ Linoa06 - nicely detailed map, very reminiscent of the mid 20th century. I always want to see larger versions, though! I think the numbers inside circles for the bus routes looks very good, just the right thickness for the circle circumference.

Mmm... watermelon.

Adding the green... now it looks like a smile... or maybe a smirk.

Amsterdam Metro, including the future line 52 (blue line).

The way you draw line 51 tricked me (but not for long). :D  I though it was shaped like a "C" at first, but it turned out that it wasn't connected at the top.

We have a winner! I thought after 'New Amsterdam' we could have 'future Amsterdam'. The new north-south line probably won't open before 2017-2018, but I wanted to give a bit more of a challenge.

I tried to draw it with the green Ring Line as a single arc, but this version is the most compact and the fewest changes of direction of lines.

Mentarman said: I'm just going to keep guessing "Death Star Metro" and one day I'll be right.

Fantastic. Maybe if Moscow Metro grows as planned, in 20 years it will look just like a death star.

Final map, with Centraal Station at the top:

Watch out for another mystery map soon.
