Indeed, this is only a big deal because of Germany's history. In general, German nazi's are a relative small minority, their party never passes the voting minimum except in a number of local elections, and then only in regions that are economically deprived. 

 

Also, its election time in Germany, so of course MP's are yelling this, its just to get voters to their respective parties.

These far right radicals and hooligans crop up, as you say, everywhere.  We have a few here and there are probably proportionally more in the U.S.  Some people are happiest marching around in some pseudo-uniform wearing the symbols of their stupidity.  As long as they are harmless, they should only be shoved under the nearest rock.

 

However, never forget that the German Socialist Worker's Party, and what it became.

If there is one group of people I trust not to forget about the NSDAP anytime soon it are the Germans. 

 

And no, these far right radicals do not crop up just anywhere. At least not in Germany. Over there right wing terrorists only crop up in poor places with high unemployment, mostly in Eastern Germany. They are not that different from the American white power guys, who are generally also poor, without a (well paying) job and a lacking in education. I'm more concerned with other European countries, where the far right has become acceptable to a lot more people.

Well now I'm white and unemployed and young and male. And while I'd rather people wore smart uniforms rather than bloody chav hoodies I don't have the authority to beat sense into them. I doubt there's much to worry about from any romantic organisation that actually thinks change is possible in this world lol. If you want a perfect world (whatever you define that as being) you'll have to look elsewhere, because this world is always going to be a battlefield of mutual hatred between rival gangs. Supremacy of any demographic, cult, religion or standard will never last long in this world of quick communication and individualism. 

 

The age of idealism is dead. Benefits and unemployment are the future. Might as well face it.
