To All: I would like to thank all of the contributors, commenters, viewers, etc. for supporting this CJ! When I first made this CJ, I could have never guessed that it would reach Page 30. I can't say in words how much I thank all of those who contribute/comment/view etc. this CJ! Thank you.

The Shore pines look awesome ! Great mix with them and the oaks.  I used to go camping in the Pine Barrens around Batsto when I was younger.  North Beach State Forest looks just about identical to what I remember, especially the night pic. So dark you couldn't see your hand in front of your face!

Wow, the forest is quite nice, I love the look of the pine trees and the regular ones again. I really like that idea. I like the country club too. Nice TOC again.

Hey, North Beach looks really great! Nice sized downtown, and the periphery blends nicely into the forest. And congratulations on Page 30; just goes to show what happens when so much effort is put into a city!

jacqulina: Yeah, it's cool seeing this CJ so big. 10.gif

JJ: Thanks for the compliments on the new forests. It really means a lot coming from someone who lives in South Jersey and is very familiar with the Pine Barrens. 10.gif

DA: Thanks for the compliments, and I'm really glad you like the forests too.

oroen: Thanks for the compliments on North Beach, I've spent a lot of time working on it. And thanks for the congrats for Page 30. I'm really glad that my effort to this CJ is paying off. 2.gif

To All: There should be another update by Monday.

I can say, though, that by the end of the week, something huge will come.

Although I can't give any details yet, what is to come may be the best thing this CJ has ever seen.

A state forest is pretty original. I'm quite surprised at how well it looks, kinda complements the open, airy sort of feel of your CJ 18.gif.

Keep up the amazing work and keep those pictures coming!! 19.gif

To All: Like I said las night, something huge is coming to this CJ.

I am being serious about it. In a few days, you'll see. 3.gif

I can't wait! It sounds so spectacularly amazing, I'm glad I've been here since the beginning! I am your biggest fan, and no matter what happens, I'll stick with Ocean Point until the end.

    RHF

P.S. I thought Crystal Junction got over 30 pages as well?

RHF: Thanks for the compliments. I hope you'll like what is coming, but I can't give anything away yet.

I think Crystal Junction is 26 pages. I forget though, it'll be on the Most Active thing so it's easy to find.

To All: I have another update. This one was unannounced.

There are three regional pictures showing the new trees and terrain mod and their effect on the region. I'm still working towards getting this to look like a real aerial picture. For now, there are still some areas that need to sprawl out before it can look truly real.

The changes I've made in the region have taken several days and a whole lot of hard work. Three regional pictures may not seem like a lot, but this one is, trust me. 3.gif

    Southwestern part of the region:

    regsw0lc.jpg

    Northeastern part of the region:

    Northwestern part of the region:

    RHF: Thanks for the compliments.

DA: Thanks for the compliments also.

gurrgkud: Thanks. San Juan, PR is definately a city I'd like Ocean Point to be compared to. The mod we're talking about is the CPT Terrain Mod. Do a search for it, and you'll be able to find it.

To All: I've been talking about something huge coming to this CJ lately. Well, here it is: a preview of what to expect in the coming days, week, maybe even coming weeks.

*shivers* being a Floridian, that hurricane picture made me cold for a second. I have been through my fare share of em, and trust me they aren't fun. I hope Ocean Point is ok! I would hate to see the barrier island with the main city (if it is a barrier island) flood! 14.gif

helomoto: Thanks for the compliments. It looks like the storm is going to come, so a small chance of a miss now.

Amryai: Thanks for the compliments. We will see about the hurricane destroying Ocean Point, who knows what will happen (Even I haven't decided on anything yet). 3.gif

MayorTim: The barrier island is at a great danger (Like you suggested). But Ocean Point should be OK. You Floridians got through four hurricanes last year, so Ocean Point should be able get through one. 10.gif

gurrgkud: Yes, it should be neat having the hurricane hit the city.

Cinatit: Thanks for the compliments. I could show you that if you want, yes. Maybe this afternoon.

    jacqulina: Thanks.

To All: More info on the hurricane later today. It is slowly tracking towards Ocean Point at the time.

RHF: Dude, I haven't even done the southern expansion yet! Besides, Florida went through four hurricanes and it's clearly still there. 10.gif

Although yes, this CJ will end someday, probably when I lose interest in the game again and forget about it. I doubt there will be a planned ending.

dhoppeii: Thanks for the compliments. Actually, the region is only 13x16, smaller then the default 16x16 Maxis config.bmp for when you make a new region. It loads pretty much instantly.

    sloppet: Thanks for the compliments.

To All: The hurricane is getting closer to Ocean Point. It has been moving to the northwest slowly at 10 MPH for the past couple of days. At 9PM last night, when the hurricane was announced, it was 420 miles southeast of Ocean Point. Now, it is 180 miles southeast of the city, and may be a direct hit on Ocean Point.

The hurricane has sustained winds of 125 MPH, with gusts to 140 MPH, and is generating 30 to 40 foot waves on the open ocean. It isn't expected to change much in intensity in the next 24 hours. If anything, it may weaken.

Stay tuned for more announcements and forecasts.

RHF: All CJs will die eventually. Just the way it goes. But don't worry, I am confident that this CJ will go on for a long time to come. 10.gif

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Coastal flooding is not a threat there because it is too far inland. But the winds could tear that little town apart. We'll see, but I'm sure the sims in the sturdy schools will be safe (OK, maybe not, but time will tell). 3.gif
