Still lovin' this cj. Great stuff!

Let no one yield, we're on the field where deeds eclipse the sun; where the brave are told on a thread of gold, the tapestry is spun. As they speak of dreams, their armor gleams, this calm before the storm... Where all can see their destiny, the bishop takes the pawn.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately..

There's a lot of silent diplomacy going on regarding the "earthquakes" (READ: Sepsis has very little IRL time at the moment), but there are some disturbing rumours regarding alleged nuclear testing and unwelcome alliances..

..more may be revealed next week when I'm back from a short trip to London.

    Silur: Great pic.

Looks like the Rodinian embassy in Uzbekistan. 2.gif

KIEV (Reuters) - Four men, two of them believed to be American citizens, were shot dead

today near the Rodinian city Sosjin. According to sources at the British embassy in Ilitj

the men had broken into a high security military warehouse in Sosjin's harbour area when

discovered by Rodinian soldiers who immediately opened fire.

There are so far no official comments from Rodinian or American authorities.

The Socialist state of Rodina is at the moment not prepared to endorse such actions, especially since the involvment of US and EU is nothing more than ill-disguised imperialism with little or no real concern for the Kosova population.

Lovely, you found the Ukrainian Nukes that were "missed placed" en route to Russia back in '91.

Got to love how Russia got all the Soviet Nukes, yet the other republics got none, that is, apart from the Khabarovsk, we were smart enough to keep ours, seeing that without them, Russia, Sakhaliyna, or even the United States would invade us just for the nukes we held.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) -- Iran test-fired nine missiles Wednesday,

including ones capable of hitting Israel, making a dramatic show of its

readiness to strike back if the United States or Israel attacks it over its

    nuclear program.

The launches sparked strong U.S. criticism and a jump in oil prices

    - underlining fears Iran might seal off the Strait of Hormuz, the Gulf

waterway through which 40 percent of the world's crude passes, if

    military conflict does break out.

The tests of the long- and medium-range missiles did not appear to

mark a significant advance in Iran's missile capability - similar ones

have been tested previously. But the timing and location were clearly

aimed to send a message, coming as Iran has sharply stepped up the

tone of its warnings of retaliation if attacked. This week, a top official

of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, Ali Shirazi, warned Tel Aviv would be

"set on fire" in any Iranian retaliation.

The tests took place amid a military exercise that Iran has been

conducting in the Hormuz strait, where Tehran has threatened to block

oil traffic in response to any U.S. or Israeli military action.

The U.S. Defense Department said it was studying the test to determine

exactly what was launched and what it shows about Tehran's missile

    capabilities.

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice called Wednesday's tests "evidence

that the missile threat is not an imaginary one." Rice also indirectly

accused Rodina (Socialist State of) of helping Iran develop long range

missiles by "warning certain Eastern European countries of getting

themselves too involved in the already unstable region."

Since page 29 of this CJ seems to be slightly corrupted I will repost some of the Rodinian early history:

    Rodinian history (BCE* - 1900)

BCE 3300 The standing stones on Kameno are raised. BCE 550 Greek settlements on eastern bank of the river now called Jenilenska. 200 Part of Roman vasall state Regnum Bospori. ca 880 The legendary Hostnik founds a town on Rodnovo island in the middle of river Ilja. 916 Novak, son of Hostnik, is killed by varangians (vikings). A runestone in Uppsala, Sweden, tells of this event as the first written reference on the town of Rodnovo. 1008 A small province of the declining Pechenegi Khanate breaks free under the leadership of Breznik, a local sovereign. The Kingdom of Rodina is born. 1009-11 The capital Rodnovo is renamed Ilitj. King Breznik conqeurs land east of river Jenilenska. The borders of Rodina is now the same as today. 1222-23 Mongols besiege Ilitj (Rodnovo Island) 1240 Ilitj is destroyed during the second Mongol invasion  1359-63 Ilitj castle is built on the Gusjin rock. The oldest houses in present-day Starograd are built. 1481 The Ottoman empire captures all of Rodina except Ilitj.  1695 Peter I of Russia captures eastern Rodina from the Ottomans.  1698 Peter I officially founds the first Russian Navy base, Taganrog, on the Rodinian coast near Miroslavl. 1768-74 The 5th Russo-Ottoman war. The whole of Rodina is brought within the orbit of the Russian Empire. Krasnovod is founded by empress Ekaterina II. 1813 Rodina declares its independence after over 100 years of Russian domination, without any bloodshed. King Jurij I climbs the throne of the kingdom. 1853-1856 Allied with Imperial Russia, Rodina participates in the Crimean War against France, United Kingdom, the Ottoman Empire and the Kingdom of Sardinia.

    Starovo - Kameno

    071201hih4.jpg071201iat3.jpg

The standing stones at Kameno island was erected about 3700 BCE for, it is believed, religious purposes.

No one knows who built them, but there are theories about powerful tribes wandered in from Siberia. This ancient people, whoever they were, definitely made a great impact throughout Europe, as their way of building stone circles was imitated for centuries to come..

On Kameno there's also Dudajev Castle, built in the 11th century.

Outside the south-east corner of the castle is the mausoleum of Breznik.

    Gretjeskij Dom

    071204bpg5.jpg

North of Krasnovod at the eastern bank of river Jenilenska lies the small town of Gretjeskij Dom.

About 2500 years ago was here a Greek settlement for trade and shipping grain.

A large temple, dedicated to Demeter (goddess of agriculture and earth) was built on the top of a hill, overlooking the surrounding fields and forests.

At present day the temple ruin is one of Rodina's most visited tourist attractions, and Gretjeskij Dom is Rodina's largest grain port.
