May 9th - The Day of Victory

The 9th of May is celebrated all over Rodina to commemorate the victory over fascism and to honour all those who fought and gave their lives in the Great Patriotic War 1941-45.

It is great to see such a display in this excellent CJ!

I must say the parade represents the glory of vixtory well and the ship is also a very nice touch on this May 9th....WE must remember ever year there are less heros to honor....can you belive that if you were 20 duing the Great Patriotic War that'd you'd probably be over 80 years old...

Certainly a different time and a different mindset...but still an excellent update!

Sorry for not being in touch for a while.
I'm currently suffering from a bad viral infection in both eyes and it makes it quite hard to sit by the computer..

Anyway it's getting slowly better and the updating of our beloved Socialist State will continue pretty soon...  10.gif

    Sorry for the illnes!

This parade and the other updates from the North are fantastic.

Nice variety of military vehicles, actually where did you get half of them? Especially the missile complexes (all three of them, one in darker camuflage)?

Good ol' Liberty Islands! Someday, I'll repost my old CJ.

Great update. Its good to see Im not the only person who uses those airport pieces as bus and train stations. They are brilliant to use as just modular buildings.

Glad to see this classic is still alive!

And you are a master fo the LE!  That station looks good - but as a terminal station you should add some railyards somewhere close.

    Tale care and make Backups!

Socialist State of Rodina - Ilitj

    070721awk0.jpg

On the very site where the US embassy burnt to the ground during the 1968 protests against the Vietnam war, the Socialist State of Rodina

in 1975 erected the monument "Domino-Teorija" to celebrate the socialist victory in south-east Asia.

The monument is also a memorial to the Rodinian soldiers who fought and died during the wars in Indochina.
