You need the Debugenabler, link first in first post. 

And yeah, sadly they changed the camera back. Maybe that can give some clues for camera modding, though?

    I've been doing a little poking around in data files... It would be great if the debug cheats menus were re-enabled... :) I hate hitting Alt-W over and over and over and over again..etc... you get it... And the command key cheats only work in sandbox, so debug menu cheats would be pretty nifty. I will keep looking around, but so far I have not found much of anything :( --

    BTW:: ProcsKalone, let me know if you need any help, I am pretty handy with coding and game modding (I used to make GTA mods, including GTA IV script mods) :) I'd love to be of assistance.. The sooner those cheat menus get re-enabled, the better.. lol

    There's a problem, when I get back to the menu, the map that I was using MOD to build can't load, it's always show the message Unable to load the city, and my friend has the same problem too.

     

    Hrmmm that's odd, first time I've heard of it causing an unable to load only have heard of one rollback case but that was a while ago. From the mod - what did you use so far? Did you plop any buildings outside? (If so which ones), Did you use the Homeless tents? etc

     

    I think I'm just being stupid but I've downloaded SimrollerDebug.package, SimRollerCompletePackv07.package, DebugRepositioning.package and put all of these in the SimCityData folder, I've also put the script in the SimCityUserData as per instructions.  I can see the university path but I can't get the debug menu to open.  Any ideas what I've missed?

     

    Hrmm Do you have any other mods installed? Wondering if there might be a conflict. The files are in the right location. You're 100% sure when extracting my zip you didn't accidentally extract the whole SimCityData folder it comes with and put that folder into SimCityData (So that you have a subfolder inside SimCityData which is SimCityData too?) Also the game is kind of finnicky sometimes detecting new packages so perhaps try moving em from the folder and back in again and see.

    And yeah I was hoping the patch might shed some light on what changes are with the camera, but its kind of odd. I replaced all the changed JS files as a simple test and it seems to have not done anything. The "iPatch_SimCityData_263316882_263911426.zip" comes with 2 modified App & Game packages. The game package has an UNK binary rule file as far as I gather that it comes with that doesn't seem to appear anywhere else again. I don't know if thats just related to something with patching (Most likely) or the camera. Also the APP.package has a bunch of modified props (I think it was cpp?) and _swb files which I have no real idea are nor can SCPAK unpack em

    Just build some roads, but never mind, because we found only the test server has this problem, the other servers are fine, I can load successful anytime, the wrong message never shows up again, maybe just server problem
    , unfortunately, we usually play on the test server, but I can switch to use your MOD, thanks anyway.

    Only the elegant casino was affected with the costs? Or am I mistaken

    Also I have added mayors mansion and such in, but for some reason it doesn't want to play nice like the other modules and accept an increased module count to compensate like the other plops.

     

    Try it yourself. I had a sci-fi casino that I built pre-mod with two low wealth lodging add-ons and two medium wealth lodging add-ons. Then I built one from the mod menu and the cost for the add-ons was much higher than the cost of the regular in game ones.

    My bad! Apparently they did change the models for the other casinos too when tuning the elegant. Been fixed!

     

    0.71 out - will be my last update for a while till may 28th

    Hi all, 

    I have installed the mod, but when I display the debug menu the region icon is missing from the list in the right. Also the other button doesn't have the subcategory. What should I do?

    I have installed all the files in the proper way, double checked a lot of time ;)

    It should be moved to the same row as the buttons for roads/zones/govt etc with some text that says "Build Outside"

    Like NJK00 I am also unable to locate the region button/menu with the new 0.71 update. I do not see it anywhere on the debug menu or near any of the standard zoning buttons. Also, I am only able to place half the normal amount of add-ons/ploppables. They each count as 2, but the maximum is no longer doubled. Will there be a fix for this?

    Hrmmm I am split between confusion and more confused. The people that are saying its not working, are you sure youre checking where your normal Zoning/Govt/Trash/Transport buttons are, to the ri ght there should be anew circular button that says "Build OUtside"

    Yes I mean refilling the debug menu. I still have a TON of the files from release day version. I don't know if any of them can help or not. But maybe they still have code in them for the debug menus. I bought the game on DVD on release day, so, let me know if you need any old version files mate.

    Hey , I'll see what I can do about it later today, but once thats done I'll most likely be taking a break till their new DLC comes out on the 28th. Too many patches, too many updates for me to keep up with atm with IRL.

     

    edit: if anyone else that has 0.71 and are having the same issues with finding the button let me know. The few ppl I tested with before release said it showed up for them but something may have gone wrong when I put the files together.

    I have reverted back to 0.70 in the meantime. I still am experiencing the issue with only being able to attach half the normal amount of add-ons/plopables.

    If you are suffering from plopables showing the wrong count - that means that the mod was not installed properly to begin with (Sorry should have spotted this from your first post, but answering help after you wake up isn't the smartest thing) Are you sure in SimCityData you put the three files named: DebugReposition.package, SimRollerCompletePackv071.package, and SimrollerDebug.package. And did you put the scripts package that came with my download into SimcityUserData\EcoGames\ (replace the scripts package that is here)

     

     

    edit:  You can revert plop amounts to their normal Maxis numbers by simply deleting SimCity-Scripts_262995499.package and reconnecting to SimCity - it will redownload the proper version

    I have removed all my mods and replaced the 4 existing files from your mod with a freshly downloaded 0.71. 3 files into Data and 1 into EcoGames. I still can only plop half the amount of addons, and now back on 0.71 i can not find the region button anywhere (not in the debug menu or down on the toolbar).

    Remove the mods, and delete the scripts package as mentioned in my previous message's edit. I'll be free today in the afternoonish and will have a look over and see if I can see whats going wrong. Not sure why it would work for some but not others. Do you have any other mods running by chance? Though as far as I know no mods currently should affect my mod hrmmmmm.

    Try with different screen solutions. Maybe the button is a bit too far to the right for the one you have atm. This is what it looks like for me: button.JPG

    I'm running 1440x900 on a 19" widescreen monitor, though I did try all resolutions it would let me.

    edit: hmm thats odd though your menus are not updated label wise and youre missing two of em but the contents of the road menu etc are correct to the latest version that included the label changes. Hrmmmmmmmmmm are you using another local gameclient?

    Hmmm could be your resolution cutting off the last buttons too but that doesn't explain why they aren't updated. Try deleting all the files from the mod and doing another fresh install to see if it corrects that.

    Hmm.. after further testing I can place the roads just fine but if I select any buildings I get "Invalid Road Placement". Man, your menu's look nice. 

     

    I'm using just regular client with only the Oppie? Train mod and this one.

    Train mod should be fine. And the building placement - is it when you try n place it anywhere? Most plops do not support literal anywhere placement like the parks. I believe its possible to make em like that but  you want them to be near roads for power/water etc and some buildings place a inbuilding road that connects to the road which you'd want so I left them requiring some alignment to roads. Refer to my OP about some placement examples for how you can plop some of the buildings. There are a few other ways you can get creative besides straight grid placements.
