Giant Lizard...a blessing in disguise?

Hi there,

So recently, I seem to be attracting giant lizards to come and trample over my cities.  Of the last 5 that I have had, all of them have appeared around the city dump and walked directly towards it.  Once there, it appears to eat the rubbish in the dump before it dies.

I noticed yesterday, however, that before the giant lizard got there, the dump was full to capacity.  After the giant lizard and trampled its way over to the dump and had a picnic, I suddenly had aload of extra space in the city dump (I had no incinarators on the dump).  Has anyone else noticed this? Or is this just a flukey bug that happened this one time.

Whilst it may indeed empty your garbage sometimes, it destroys a lot of buildings sometimes requiring millions to replace. An extra garbage lot is free. So no, it's anything but a "blessing in disguise". I hate the thing. I hate it like Mitt Romney hates poor people.

O yes, I really hate it too. The time I noticed it ate the garbage it trampled my fire station and recyling centre all in one go in order to get to the dump. Not the best situation when you have a fire breathing lizard walking around not to have any fire engines...

You could always summon the lizard where it won't cause significant damage. And extra garbage lots are not free as they take up valuable space and don't address the problem at all (you are generating more garbage than you are able to burn/export/have eaten by a giant lizard).

If summoning the lizard is a way to instantly dispose of 560t of garbage without generating pollution or expenses then this is a nice find.

now that I read this I did realize that it always heads directly for the garbage then disappears there, and usually causes a ton of damage to my cities cause  I usually put the garbage at the edge of my city, also have u noticed that if u have a river in your city it will dig under the river and end up on the other side?

and it kinda makes sense that it eats the garbage since to unlock it you have to burn 100 tons of garbage, but I never noticed it eating the garbage cause I usually have 4 burners and no trash in my dumps

Happend to me once to. He ate 50 t of garbage... After he tore down a 100,000$ mine, and another 100,000$ in other buildings.

50 t of garbage vs 200,000$... yeah. Valuable lesson learned: never place expensive buildings close to a city dump.

Yes, I have noticed that if I have a river in my city, it does tend to dig under the river and still go straight to the dump.

i did a small test earlier.  I summoned a lizard in the middle of nowhere (just started a new city with the dump on the outskirts).  The lizard then just wandered through the forest doing nothing until it eventually got to my dump, ate some stuff and died.  So for small cities with dumps on the outside, turns out you can empty a dump this way
