Sim City 5

I notices some people talk about a game called sim city 5 that is the next one. What is it? Is it just like sim city 4 but with more features? Can I use sim city 4 plugins and mods with sim city 5? What does the game play look like? Is sim city 5 replace sim city 4?

Long story short, SC4, and SC5, which is actually just called Simcity, are nothing alike. Your SC4 plugins will not work in Simcity. Do a Google search for Simcity, or take a look around the SC2013 forum (at the top of the forum list). Some of the highlights of the new game include full 3D, curvy roads, multiplayer, and the new Glassbox engine.

They are both vastly different games. We haven't heard much about custom content yet. But one thing's for sure, as jacksunny said, plugins from SC4 definitely will not be compatible.

A game worth keeping an eye on is Boomtown, founded by Buggi. It's a community project that's being built from the ground upwards. Although still in early stages in development, it does seem very promising.
