@ROFLyoshi: not a bad view at all!

@Mark, looks like a beautiful day out for cycling!

    Thanks EB  8)

Here's a couple more lightning shots of mine, and IMHO my best yet.  When I was a kid I dreamed of being a storm chaser, and I sort of relived that fantasy in these photos.  Who knows, I could end up doing this professionally one day...:D

    For now, though:

So I went to a rooftop bar in an inner neighbourhood of the city today.

Not a bad view to enjoy a few drinks from, eh?

Very nice indeed! Good you post this, it reminds me of the fact that I need to take my camera with me to Brussels one day (we have excellent rooftops and parking garages)

In my experience, cats in Greece are nearly always outside on the street. Of course, my family does live in a small town, not in a large city like Athens.

@Jazz - Wow, those lightning shots are quite something, how did you capture them? I've always wanted to be able to capture quick events, like lightning strikes or a salmon jumping up a river but my camera just isn't responsive enough.

@Mark_Kochan - Some lovely sunny pictures of Bristol you have there :)

@_marsh_ - You've captured the fire well, and the black and white adds to the image.

What site would people recommend for image hosting? Quite a few of my pictures seem to have gone AWOL recently :(

Anyway these are hosted on FB for now :( Clicky for full size.

Very nice along Le Côte d'Azure.  Ever been to Le Côte d'Argent?  That's over around Biarritz, and it is very nice if not quite so tranquil.

The Côte d'Azure, and the Provence region in general is beautiful.

No I've never been to Biarritz, or that particular area of France. Maybe next year

Thanks!  I actually set my camera up on a tripod and shoot for about 10-20 seconds.  The light from lightning is so strong that it acts like an enormous external flash - basically the light from the strikes stays "burned" into the image for quite a while after you press the shutter. Your recent pics look very neat!

I have just purchased a Samsung Galaxy to replace my old Traveller digital. It is one of these 'smart phones' and I'm not sure how it works or connects to the internet when outside wifi zones, but it does have a camera/video function. So I may well take some experimental shots with it in due course.

@Mark: Good luck with your new toy.  Anyone can operate one of those, just follow the manual the first time you do anything with it.  Did you get it activated with a provider?  Looking forward to your pix.

Blue must have been a custom colour.  I don't think it is a normal offering, but if I could afford it, I'd certainly buy one.

Your sticker is from a Moose Revolvo.  The carfax will show it was totalled in a collision in New Brunswick.
