    Astoning is the word...
    Thanks to CycleDogg mod (and a little bit of Photoshop), here is a view of NEMO PENINSULA, a thin land separating the quiet FROG MOUTH SEA from the cold NORTHERN OCEAN.

    The seaport in the middle of the peninsula is FISHERMEN'S FRIENDS, a small village whose main activity is... fishing. Whales (not yet a protected species on ALDEBARAN), cod, white turtles (this animal does not exist on Earth, it's a 3 meters long big turtle).

    On the most western part of the peninsula, which forms a cape, some people are currently builing a new city simply called : CAPE TOWN

    *smacks forhead*

    of course! after looking through the first couple of pictures, i remember this journal quite fondly! many of the pictures in here were actually inspiration for one of my own journals...some quite remarkable stuff, and of course it still remains so.
    fredval, i have also followed your work for quite a while - your rebuilding of France was a remarkable feat equaled by few.
    glad to see you are back.

    Alkaola, I use the standard flora brush. You should try this one.

    To all : thank you for your lovely comments, but all credits must go to Cycle Dogg. If you haven't already, you should pay a visit to his thread ( https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/view.asp?topicID=62148 ).

    It's simply... Wow !

    Back to Aldebaran, here is the last picture of FISHERMEN'S FRIENDS fishing seaport.
    I forgot to put this one yesterday. All credits of this picture must go to Pegasus.

    I'll come back in 1 hour or two with more great pictures of another city : CAPE TOWN
    But first, I need to build it 2.gif

    Alkaola,

    I think I read that Cyclepuppy will possibly release more trees, but right now there are only 3.

    Fredval, you read my mind!  I was going to ask for another close-up of the fishing port and I forgot!

    As far as I understood, the mod that you can find on Cycle Dogg/puppy website is just a beta version.
    I'm not sure he wanted some other people to use it, but the temptation was too big for me 19.gif

    But I think he plans to add even more variety to textures and trees... This guy gave a sense to my (sim) life 44.gif

    Just to show you, what I'm working on at this moment : the situation of CAPE TOWN on the map

    CAPE TOWN is a new settlement near FISHERMEN'S FRIENDS, at the western extremity of NEMO PENINSULA.

    One shore of CAPE TOWN is on the NORTHERN OCEAN and the other shore is on the FROG MOUTH SEA...
    CAPE TOWN is the place where two seas collide. Its waters are dangerous and always agitated. Many boats sunk on the rocks surrounding CAPE TOWN's coast.

    In itself, CAPE TOWN is not really interesting for the visitor.

    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval10.jpg align=baseline>

    This city is a little bit richer than the other settlements in the area but in comparison with FISHERMEN'S FRIENDS which is a really busy city, CAPE TOWN is quiet... almost sleeping.

    Which is singular in CAPE TOWN, is the mayor. Mr Jaguar Woods got the crazy idea to build a holiday resort a few kilometers from CAPE TOWN.

    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval11.jpg align=baseline>

    But since a marina and a swimming pool were not enough to attract all the richiest citizens of the area, he also built a golf course.

    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval12.jpg align=baseline>

    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval13.jpg align=baseline>

    Within a few months, the success of this resort hotel was so huge, that Jaguar Woods, decided to built a second hotel.

    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval15.jpg align=baseline>

    Special credits for Jeronij (the trail park), SimGoober (the resort hotel) and DoctorGonzo (the golf course)

    Awesome ! This golf course is extremely appealing !

    I wonder how a small community of peasants and fishers could build such a large golf course, but anyway it doesn't make any problem to me

    Your pictures are fantastic !

    Hey !  It's cool to see you are still there !  It's as if I had never left 1 year ago...

    To be honest, this week I take the opportunity that my girlfriend is visiting her mother in Britany to play my favourite game 2.gif
    In general, she is rapidly fed up to see me playing with the PC while there is some washing up, some cooking etc to do

    But I assume that most of the members of Simtrop face the same problem 44.gif

    I'll pay a visit to your thread sometimes this week

    Take care

    CITY OF SAINT-FLORENT

    Populated with many people coming from France, a strange country on planet Earth, the City of SAINT FLORENT is placed on top of a lovely hill. Its inhabitants specialized themselves in... wine making. Typically french !

    This is a picture of the rodeo park, down the hill of SAINT-FLORENT
    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval17.jpg align=baseline>

    These horses are bred on the other side (northern side) of the hill. Horse breeding is the second specialty of SAINT-FLORENT.

    <ahttp://www.dudyimg.dudyconstructor.com/imagehost/fredval18.jpg align=baseline>

    But the real specialty of SAINT-FLORENT is wine. The town produces a wonderful petit blanc which is exported all over the planet.
