Hey, fred, I just wanted to let you know, your CJ has made it to the 'City of the Week' section of SimCity World . Great job, man!

    quote>

I've had a look at it and I must admit that I am really impressed by the quality of your website and really honoured to be present on the mainpage 3.gif

I'll do my best to justify this honour...

The settlers founded a large city. They called it Pooty Heaven. Pooty was the guy who drew the plans of the city and Heaven because this place was really a new paradise.
On this picture, you can find out that all the streets lead to the coast. The architects have chosen to make wall to wall buildings.

The northern part of this little paradise is occupied by a large park area with water canals and sports fields. Schools, colleges and hospital facilities were built in this place.

    /idealbb/files/aldebaran11.jpg

But how all this was possible ?
Thanks to a discovery of a strange liquid which enables the big central herebelow to produce environment-friendly energy. Since it is a green energy, the architect ironically decided to give it the shape of a flower.

Forgive me-- this has been asked before-- but where did you get that green ship from the first posts?

    FOCUS ON A CUSTOM LOT
    The green boat

    /idealbb/files/utopia91.jpg

This boat is a lot. It has been designed by a Japanese batter, whose name I am not able to read. If someone knows his name, I will surely credit him for his amazing creations.
You can download this boat and three other models of cargo ships here :

Here is another view of the city with the nice wall to wall buildings streets and the rather small but awesome though beach. I really like the beachfront.

    /idealbb/files/aldebaran131.jpg

In the Northwestern part of the city, you can find the large bus station and the ferry station. The tall aerial makes a radio contact with the rest of the inhabited parts of the planet.

    /idealbb/files/aldebaran14.jpg

Meanwhile, some other boats, heading North, had discovered another island. This was in the North from Xiziz. The climate was much more tropical. This was in fact made out of two islands linked by a wide coral reef. The island with the volcano was called Equinox Island and the flat one was called BisonM in the name of a great novelist who lived on Oppie island a long time before.

There were poor quantities of fresh water on the South islands but the settlers of Aldebaran are able to build cities everywhere. Even if the flora was really a tropical one and if the climate was rather hot and wet they were able to build a quite awesome town (I'd rather call it a village).

    /idealbb/files/aldebaran16.jpg

Lucky children of this primary school who just have to go out of the classroom to be on the beach. You can see them during their pause running on the white and hot sand, admiring the beautiful sailships of the marina.

    /idealbb/files/aldebaran17.jpg

The rest of the island was much too hostile for the citizens to live there. That's why they decided to elevate an obelisk to represent the eastern boundary of the city. In the meantime, some people found a source of fresh water on the northern island. The mayor decided to transfer rapidly a part of the population there since room was really beginning to lack.

    To be continued...

Did anyone happen to download the cargo ships in this cj while the links were still working? I just found this, and I really like the ships, but the site they came from no longer works... :-(

It's been a long time since I last posted on this thread. But lately I've been really inspired by Cycle Dogg's work on Clark and Lewis expedition. The following pic is 100% dependant on his great mods. To be honest, I also need to pay a good tribute to Pegasus...

So here it is : a new settlement on Aldebaran, this fabulous planet. Beautiful for the eyes, but unfriendly for a living...

I hope you will like it (it's nice too be back for a while 2.gif

I don't know if I will be able to update this CJ on a regular basis. For my job I need to travel a lot (Italy, USA, HK, Taiwan, Germany, Shanghai only during the 3 last months...) and I don't have too much time to spend on games...

Anyway, let me remind everybody that the people of Aldebaran were stopped by the lack of room. All the places they settled in were rapidly limited by mountains, forests and seashore. Their expansion steadily slowed down...

However, after many years, the architects and industrialists of Aldebaran had made so big progress with boat technology, energy saving, and housing developpment, that the pioneers became able to move on.
They headed North, as the equator of the planet looked too hot a place for a settlement...

After weeks of sailing they finally found a small island, isolated in the middle of the North Ocean.
