I have to say that you have one of the best suburban layouts out there. the sprawl you have looks just like it would in a satilite picture...no kidding..I have tried doing them that way but can never get them to build up. Good Job. keep it up.

Wow!  Nice City Journal!  A lot more realistic than my region is.  Good job!44.gif

About the bridge, maybe you should do one of those underwater tunnels.  A bridge would ruin the downtown area imo.

Wow! I just looked through all of the updates I've missed! Absolutely spectacular! I can't wait to see the next update! I am however somewhat surprised that a bridge wasn't built earlier however it is definitely needed!

An under water tunnel would fit in better and would not look to out of place. Then again it is hard to say what type of brigde would look out of place.None the less at least we will see more suburbs!

    You make the best suburbs!

    Santa Terra Enquirer

Granton Bridge a Success: Santa Terra Expands

We finally come to the finish of the Granton Bridge, one that was expected to fix some much needed commute problems that kept Santa Terra from expanding onto Sheeron Island. Well, we were right, and this bridge brought us a new city in Santa Terra: Lucian. Home to about 50,000 residents, Lucian sprawls almost across the whole top half of Sheeron Island. It also puts a big relief on Santa Terra government because of the herds of people wanting to get a piece of that Santa Terra business.

Santa Terra, now on two land masses

Granton Bridge was also expected to have a heavy flow of cars and it has definitely met that expectation. The wide bridge serves perfectly to keep the mass of cars moving across to downtown to a smooth moving of cars instead of a parking lot.

Lucian brings trade to Santa Terra: Lucian Port and Redstone Rail big for the future

The Sheeron River serves as a perfect route for trade and the Santa Terra government have found a place to begin that trade. Lucian. This large port is hoping to expand more industry in trade in Santa Terra and across the western region of Mandursuro. Along with this, the project of the Redstone Rail has also begun. Another hopeful way to expand industrial growth and trade. What you see now is might look small, but in the hopeful near future, this small block of industry can turn into a nation wide project.

And a final shot of Redstone Rail at the southernmost part of Lucian before it crosses the Sheeron River.

Lucian: A suburb of Santa Terra with its own downtown?

The wait was worth it in my opinion.  It looks great man.  I really like how the sprawl is looking for the outskirts of the city.  I lived in one sort of like that in a way.  I like the more relaxed setting of a country style city which is where I am at now.  Back in my home town.

Anyways, great job man.  I really like it.  Keep it coming.

I haven't visited this CJ in awhile. The latest update looks great! You really have some of the greatest looking suburds around simtropolis. I simply love them and great job with those lofts, they look very orderly. BTW, where did you get that dark blue coloured building that is in Downtown Lucain? It looks fantastic. Keep up the great job.40.gif

The suburbs and the waterfront look awesome. I love that realistic look. I liked the gif of the traffic on the bridge.

I usually dont post twice on the same page in the journals...but I just couldnt hold back...WOW...great job you did..they city layout is increadable. And I know how hard it is to keep those animated gifs from jumping during the transition (restart) and you cant see it at all (I know because I looked at so many). You are doing a fine job..and it was well worth the wait. Keep it up.

BTW: I have now added this to my faverites CJ list
