This may be deleted anytime by a mod or admin.  I needed it for a test.

FlagSweden.png  From the inkscape tutorial PNG output.

Now this is the test.

I also have this as an Inkscape drawing.  It is not an image but an XML listing.  I am going to try to insert it here

image/svg+xml

By the great horned swoggle, it worked! Look at the source of this post if you want to see what an SVG image really is.

But it only worked in the preview. On the Post command the editor got all flustered. This is probably a bug, so it might be worth pursuing.

I can see both images just fine (Win7, 64 bit, Opera 12.13, 64 bit).

Both show up in my browser.  Let's see what happens if I try a straight add image:

I don't get a URL for the "image" but you can see both of them on my website.  They are both in the second line of the first table.

Now I'm on a Windows XP 32-bit PC with Firefox 17.0.1, and I can still see both images, EA logo and Swedish flag.

<p>OK, I've had a thought or two overnight.&nbsp; Let's try it in a different way so that maybe it is not exposed to the RTF editor.</p>

<p>I have enabled html, so here goes</p>

<p>Can't get a grip on a link from the SVG image posted on my private site. So here is the file directly from my machine.</p>

Failed!  What happened to the insert HTML and CODE in the BBCode drop down box?

By the way, it is truly strange that I can get this to display on my own external website but it fails here.  Something is filtering SVG sequences out.  You don't like XML?

Well, I hope that your test, whatever its purpose for this board is, succeeds. I is odd that a web standard is being filtered out. I think SVG (and Inkscape) are brilliant.

Probably.  Since Inkscape can export images to other formats it is not particularly important to post the XML in any case.  However, I can get it onto my private site, so I guess there is a security problem with this site.
