Those are some lovely little houses. Any chance of some diagonal versions? Glad to hear that you've got a mouse again. I have a huge space in my city that has got Eastman Kodak written all over it.

I'll second Gutterclub, nice looking stuff though, the Eastman Kodak and the smaller office buildings you've showcased will look excellent in many situations :)

gutterclub: I know I know I promise my first batch will be out soon. Don't want to keep them in the oven for too long after all :P

libellibicus:  I was actually thinking of doing FAR versions of them... I'm sure diagonal could be possible. And glad to hear :)

Aaron Graham: Thanks, and I'll see what I can do about that.

Ion_cannon: Thanks, I'm hoping the midrises will help fill some gaps.

    kifflom112: Thanks a lot :)

darknono: Thanks; and you convinced me to finally have a look at procedural/composite textures and such. Now I might not go back to PS :P

To that end, I played around a bit with composite materials to some decent results. Perhaps not refined enough, but that seems relatively easily done.

    First attempt.

Same idea, just applied to the building.

    Some night lights for fun.

Good result ;) your buildings will better with this technical. I use over 70% of procedural texture on my BAT since I use the Bat4max, and the capacities are endless :)

    Keep up Za ;)

Vlasky: I really hope so. Been quite busy with school stuff of late, but doing small things to move in that direction when I get the chance. In the future, I'm going to stick to one or two in the pipeline :P

edwardjeria: Thanks for visiting and I do certainly hope to do some larger ones soon.

darknono: Hehe thanks for turning me to those. I'm seeing more and more that they're quite useful. Going back to the RG&E building and switching the old bricks and such out.

    libellibicus: Thanks as always :)

So I've been quietly testing these buggers in the past few weeks. They seem to work well, except the fact that the nightlights remain quite troublesome. The centering thing seemed to work great; however, I notice that my night scenes are somehow centering slightly off. Can't quite figure out why, but they seem to always shift around 3m on one axis. I'm starting to worry that I have subpar intelligence since no one else seems to be having this problem :lost:

(temporarily forget the fact that I have maxis-night buildings next to it... Any further ideas as to what can be done?

Awesome building Za, it's a great improvement :);) And I really like your nightlight.

About your night scene probleme, I think it's probably from your LOD between the day and night scene. I've already got this problem in the past with one of my building.
Or, if it's not the LOD, maybe you've move the building by mistake...

I think you need to check this to fix the small bug ;) , and what's about your first creation :) ?

Unfortunately I cannot help you with your centering problem, as much as I would like to. :(

However, the night lights are looking great, and I don't have any suggestions or complaints. :)

Darknono35 do have a point, that could be you problem.

Do you have two scenes? Like one day and the other is night if so all you need it one scene, the lights will not show up in the day render. Another thing could be the LODs issue and you can try exporting an new model file for the finale export.

The building looks great, keep it up. :D

Thanks darknono and Aaron. I always wondered if I was doing it incorrectly... I was indeed using two scenes. So that means things might be delayed a tad, but I'll get cracking on redoing the lights tonight and this weekend.

If it's the last thing I do, we're gonna have releases soon, danggit :P
