@hackinosa: Yes, it is a beach, i think you was quite confused by the beach chairs. Obviously they seem to be not so common in the US.
Most people use them to change their clothes there, but they are also very
useful to protect yourself from the (sometimes) strong winds here.
People go also swim in the sea, but the water doesn't get much warmer than 65
