Wow my friend, that area in the last post of yours is great and nice.

I like it very much, as well with the parks. The Woodside Road looks like a very well place to live, as well very costly also! I am sure they are all good financially with good jobs working in the downtown. All of the parks inside of your city make it look very beautiful, for such a nice walk in the park during the cool, nice Autumn day, looking at the such wonderful architecture of the city, the tall brown building on the Woodside Road is a very nice to look at. I am certain that a flat or an apartment in the Frasier Square would be a wonder of a place to relax in the park backyard, as long as you pay the large price tag! The countless rowhomes lining the streets would be nice views while walking to the corner store to pick up your daily milk and the bread! All of your parks and the parks that you have chosen to showcase here in this update are very and such great. They contrast to the and add to the brownstoned towers of yesterday, while mixing with the new white pristine towers of the future. A very hustling and bustling city I'm sure! With the any cool Saturday the parks will be full with the families enjoying your wonderful parks and squares. Only one request my friend, keep up the very good work!!!

and Welcome to the PAGE 4 ! ! !

This is outstanding and realistic.  You have a great vision for central cities and urban growth around them.  I particularly like how you have developed your suburbs.  My one suggestion (being a roadgeek) would be to use the RHW and some of its neat tools as you expand your freeway networks.

Keep up the great work!!

wwetom1: Wow! Thanks very much for the reply, it was a great read. Monterry is indeed a very expensive place to live, especially Woodside Road!

rewright: I am glad that you like this tour, it is a lot of fun to create the paths through the city!

dfnva: Thank you very much for the compliment!  As for the RHW, it is something that I have been wanting to try out for a while, it is just such daunting task to take on.  I am thinking of moving out and working on the suburbs soon...so I think at that point I will try my hand at using RHW.

Moving past downtown, the next stop on our tour is the Ventura City Zoo and the University of Ventura:

With PEG's Ponds, it's not easy making a good looking realistic lake, but you nailed it! The whole UV (or is it VU :P) area looks great!

wwetom1: Thanks!  I have tried numerous ways to make ponds, and I still think my best ones are the PEG ponds.  And its UV or U of V as some call it :)

The last stop on our tour of the Brentwood Mountains Path Loop is the neighborhood of Glenhaven:

TekindusT: Thanks, I like the el-rail over road as well, I think it looks really cool...both in game and in real life!

wwetom1: Thank you! Its fun to incorporate some diagonal roads in the city to change it up a little and add more of a challange.

SimCoug: I use kind of a mix of grow and plop in my cities.  I usually start out by growing the city, but then plop some different houses on top of that in some places...that way it is more realistic as well as still functional.  Most of the residential is all grow...commercial on the other hand is another story as the way it grows in my cities doesn't look as realistic to me.  Although in areas where the grid is diagonal a lot is plopped just because that way I can get it to look as I want it to...as you will see in this update.

Here is just a short teaser as I continue to work on the next update:

This is great work!!! I love your street layouts and the variety of houses you use. I see Mattb325's and some of SimGoobers, but who made that 2x2 diagonal house on Lynwood near the bike trail? I don't think I've ever seen it before. But the way you use the diagobal houses on those streets makes it look real. Great work!

wwetom1 - Thanks for the comment!  The 2x2 diagonal houses are in the  JMyers Homes Vol 1 pack, found here.  Its a great pack featured heavily in my suburbs.

Nice detailing around the pond area, and another great regional shot. Good luck on using the RHW mod, I hope you get the look you want. Maybe it will encourage me to learn to use it!

Wow, were to begin. The region shot really shows how extensive the region is, and the huge amount of work you’ve done. I like how the light rail and power lines run down the middle of the blocks: very nice touch. Also, the Wilson Ave interchange is really sweet, especially the road that connects to the freeway. Highlighting the area you are featuring is another cool thing and helps orient us to where the close-ups are located. Super update and all around fine CJ! :thumb:

Sorry for the delayed update, its been a crazy couple of weeks.  But I would like to unveil my current project, the Ventura City Seaport.  This is a project I have been wanting to get to for a long time, and I finally have.  So here you go:
