How your username is pronounced

Let's face it. Some of us have screen names that are much easier to pronounce than others. Considering we only have text to go on, such names are bound to get mispronounced. my scrren naem, Duke87, is pronounced how it looks (Duke eighty-seven) or, if you must have phonetics: DOOK-aye-TEE-sehv-EHN.
Some names however, aren't so straightforward. A few that come to mind are:

-Aronion
-Larsz
-iamrobk
-jcabassa
etc.

When I use your names in conversation, I want to pronounce them correctly. This includes talking with The Terminator, rambling like an internet junkie, or just plain in my head. I'm sure others feel the same. So, how is your username pronounced?

If you always take the same road, you will never see anything new.

Capt. Enigma:
Capt. is short for Captain, so it goes something like this:
[Cap-tan In-nig-mah]

I am Captain Enigma and I do not approve this message:
Game over, man! Game over, man!

Mine is pretty much straightforward.  WOHLVEREEN.  Like the animal, found more in Canada.  Although my state, Michigan, is the wolverine state.  My college mascot is a wolverine (sometimes refferred to as the devil of the north.  I have no idea why, and it doesn't relate to my personality.  Only a small percentage of the 36,000 U of M students know what a wolverine actually looks like.  I do not intend it to represent that comic book character or whatever that character is.

husk-er-man Mines not to hard to pronounce.

“The American city should be a collection of communities where every member has a right to belong. It should be a place where every man feels safe on his streets and in the house of his friends. It should be a place where each individual's dignity and self-respect is strengthened by the respect and affection of his neighbors. It should be a place where each of us can find the satisfaction and warmth which comes from being a member of the community of man. This is what man sought at the dawn of civilization. It is what we seek today.”

Mine is    E-A-G-C-E
or ee-ay-gee-see-ee 18.gif
I hope that's what everyone thought it was.  I would hate to hear someone try and pronounce it as a word. 18.gif

quite hard to eplain since it uses some swedish sounds that doesn't really exist in the english language but something like

Kau emm Hau

The au should be pronounced like in haul (not aoo) without any trace of an A or U in, the sound is also in the words war and law.

If you knew the Swedish letters this would be alot easier than it would just be K

- Zz-zah KSAH-roo (originally)
- Zah-zah KSAH-roo
- Zz-zah ksah-ROO
- Zah-zah KSAH-roh
- Zz-zah KSAH-roh
- KSAH-roh
- Ksah-ROO

    The ways I had prounced the above posted names were:

    Uh-row-nyun (Corrected)
    Lahr-suhz
    I-M-R-O-B-K (Eye-em-are-oh-bee-kay) I think this may be I am Rob K. though..
    jay-cuh-bass(the fish, not the musical instrument)-uh

    others on the top posters list in my mind:

    tour-ah-kuh (toroca)
    Alt-ex (I like to alternately simply spell it Altex, which sounds like a company name...
    huh-sker-man-oh-oh-seven (I always pronounce the whole name)

    SiMdOwMaN (pain in the arse to type) seems to be sim-d'oh-man

    EAGCE is E-A-G-C-E Funny, since I usually like to pronounce abbreviations as acronyms even if they come out as nonsense. it would be Yags if you pronounced it. Try:
    PSAT= Puh-sat
    HTML= Hit-mail
    PHTML=Phut-mail
    SHTML= $%*-mail
    HTM= Huh-tum
    php= Phuhp
    CBS=Kuhbs
    ABC=Ahb-kuh
    NBC=Nuh-buk
    UPN=Uh-pun
    http=huh-tuhp
    FCC= (obvious pronunciation considering I hate their content regulation)
    FDA=Fuh-duh
    NBA=Nuh-buh
    MLB=Muhlb
    NFL=Nuh-ful
    PC=Puk
    etc....

    Please, continue the enlightenment.......
