Thats a very nice Golf Cource andrew ^^ And those Burbs look really nice, though is that huge interchange really used any much? though it looks really cool, so i guess that alone is a good enough reason for its existance2.gif

I know your probably feeling down about being in the relegation zone, and that your bitter East Anglian rivals (uh, us!) are coming up to take your place if you don't get some results soon, but please:

    Don't abandon your Journal

Norwich Ready To Welcome World's Fastest

Hello everyone and may I wish you all a warm welcome back to Norwich!

Norwich has to the south-west, along the M4 motorway, into a new borough, called Stokyngton (pron. Stock-ying-ton). CONRIP (City Of Norwich Redevelopment Investment Project) has continued it's endeavours to make the city one of the world's sporting elite, and has worked to create a top class motor racing circuit - Stokyngton Raceway & Amusement Park.

First of all, the M4 enters Stokyngton from Thistlehurst. North of the motorway here is a vast and developing industrial estate, which extends a good distance into Thistlehurst also, combining to make by far the largest area of industrial land use in the city. Thistlehurst Common is a large area of wild forested and open land to the south.....

    stokyngton12hx.jpg

Junction 2a of the M4 allow access to Sir Stirling Moss Way, named after the legendary British Formula One champion. After public consultation CONRIP decided to arrange the motorway junction this way, with only one road to access the circuit directly from the motorway, to try to ensure local roads would not become gridlocked on racedays.....

    jnc2a4th.jpg

Stokyngton Raceway. A relatively short circuit in Formula One terms, at just 1.9 miles, it is suitable for Formula One and Superbikes, as well as all other lesser levels of competition on four wheels and two.....

    stokyngton38ig.jpg

The Amusement Park, contains many different forms of excitement for all the family, sure to make everyone sick at least once. Go-karting and minigolf included.....

    stokyngton43hi.jpg

The car parks get very busy on racedays.....

    stokyngton58jr.jpg

Junction 2b of the M4 provides access into Stokyngton and to Stokyngton Retail Park, a large out-of-town shopping centre, which hosts several of the UK's and the World's biggest names. Tesco, a huge Blockbuster Video outlet, McDonald's, Petco, Bed, Bath & Beyond, Costco and it's first distribution centre in Norwich are all based here.....

Wow. Norwich is back and better than ever! I really like the F1 track and it is probably the most realistic creation I have seen in SC4. Great to see you back and I hope there are many more updates to come.

And you came back with a reakky nice update 19.gif. Allthough I am not a fan of Formula I (who is M. Schumacher ?23.gif) I know the huge parking lots of them due to some concerts - and yours is absolutely adequate!!

Your region views are overwhelming!! You really got a metropolis there!!!!

Hello everyone! Yes, I am back and am feeling something of a resurgence in my enthusiasm for SC4. I'd like to take the time to thank everyone for the kind messages of encouragement left here while I was away - I would never intentionally ignore them, I think a lot of you know me well enough by now to know that that's not my style. Ginger Blokey says I'm a Norfolk Master?! Thanks GB, flattery will get you everywhere, although I'm just a good ol' farmer boy.....

I love the F1 track, I think it's really cool and I downloaded it here:

It's aptly named F1 circuit, and was created by JR03.

Thanks everyone, I have to go do another update and get reacquainted with the ST community and CJ's.

    Thanks again.

When  saw Norwich scrolling by on the front page I thought - 'which idiot's bumped a dead CJ?' - but no, I was wrong, Norwich is really alive - nice to have you back.

The raceway looks really great - there's not much more you could do without a load of custom BATs.  And the amusement park's full of nomad's excellent rides, so you can't go wrong there!

    Stokyngton Reaches Over The Hex

Hello everyone and can I welcome you to something unusual from me, a mini-update!

The recent Stokyngton update was not quite fulfilled - due to time restrictions and the desire to just produce something, I had built Stokyngton Bridge but nothing on the other side, and you were all too polite to mention it! Well, this is the second part of my update.

Here is Stokyngton Bridge, with two car ferry terminals serving the community.....

    stokyngton143ae.jpg

The South-West Norwich Synagogue offers a quiet place of prayer for the sizable Jewish contingency in this part of Stokyngton.....

    stokyngton155vt.jpg

Not far from the Synagogue is Edinburgh Square, with it's famously striking lavender colours, and it is the site of some of Norwich's most sought after property.....

    stokyngton166wt.jpg

The local high school, with it's unusual blue paved surround, boasts some fine sporting and educational facilities.....

    stokyngton178er.jpg

    Pleasant, quiet suburbia.....

    stokyngton184ec.jpg

The northern bank of River Hex.....

    stokyngton196dd.jpg

Stokyngton by helicopter, together with new population and budget.....

    stokyngton202ky.jpg

No region views tonight, as it's really not worth it for such a small update.

Let me know what you think, thanks for looking!
