I have gotton back to doing the mars base textures and tried to load the dat file into the lot editor all I see is one texture showing up...

IDs being used right now.

FC000004

FC100004

FC200004

FC300004

FC400004

FC500004

These are for the larger zoom level but all the textures follow the same pattern

all I see is one of these and I should see 6 textures in Lot editor. I can attatch the file if someone want to take a look at it and see if I did something wrong or is it a conflict with another pack I have on my PC...

Lynks

Those ID ranges were assigned to the sim mars team for their texture packs

I have attatched the file to this message I hope someone can help me fix this.

FRNDO_MarsBase_Vol1.zip

I'm not sure why this happens sometimes, but 6 of your textures became overlay textures. They were showing in the LE, but under the Overlay tab. I've attached a modified dat file with them all as base textures. Edit: For some reason I can't attach the file here. I'll PM you.

Hello, I'd like to make an addendum. Can you please extend my current range of ea76xxxx - eaffxxxx so it covers the area from: ea00xxxx to eaffxxxx?

    Thanks in advance, --SA

So... I finally have to end my age of silence and actually say something...

Long story short: I'm making some new base and overlay textures and I'd like to reserve a range for myself. Any range is fine by me, and if there's no trouble it would be nice if it included IDs for some 100 textures.

    A big thanks in advance.

Okay, it seems that what we knew could happen has happened. Two people have used the same texture IIDs and uploaded to the STEX. To make matters worse, they both used IIDs allocated to somebody else!

We have asked both parties to change their files and re-upload their creations to the STEX with the textures changed to new IIDs.

The IID ranges are as follows:

    sorchin F0800000 to F08FFFFF

    HONG KONG F1400000 to F17FFFFF

Whilst we realise that the Texture Index is voluntary, this episode goes to show that it is in everybody's interest to use it. Thankfully, both parties concerned have now asked for Texture Ranges and the problem should soon be over.

Whilst I'm on the subject, can I thank everyone who has requested Ranges in the past. The Index is now over 2 years old, and I think has worked quite well. We will always try to respond to a range request as soon as possible, and I think this is one of the best examples of community co-operation we have.

    Thanks geoffhaw

Edit. You know it just occured to me I need some help concerning the ID ranges geoffhaw gave me. My range is between F0800000 and F08FFFFF. Exactly how many ID numbers is that? I'm sure it's a silly newbee question. But I have to ask because I honestly don't know. For example, using the first 4 numbers, would it go something like this F080 F081 F082 (up to 9), then it starts with the letters, F08A F08B etc...

I'm sur once it's briefly explained. It will be simple to understand.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No, not at all! We're trying to keep a centralized index, so no ID ranges are used twice accidentially, but everyone is encouraged to request a personal range.quote>

Awesome! Requesting a personal range por favor 9.gif

Don't know if this is the right place to ask be here goes...

Could someone kindly point me in the direction of the pathway textures for the Antwerp Cathedral? They show up as black or as the grey grid pattern. I have looked at the readme and thought that " BSC BAT Props - SWI21 Vol 01.dat " would be the problem. I tried looking for it on the Stex but i could only get Vol 7 and not Vol 1.

    Any Ideas?????

Apologies for asking about a CSX building but seeing as there are a few Texture extrordinares around, I thought would you would be able to help out?
