I've been playing the game since the original, but I'm a new member here. Your cities are beautiful and the best I've seen on the forums! I love the thought and meticulousness you put into them. You've inspired me to rethink how I design my cities (I usually try to set up a boring grid just to get as many sims as possible). It seems creating a lush city with a "real plan" can be infinitely more rewarding.

All that parking on surface lots is reminiscent of many mid-size US cities. Hopefully there'll be some urban renewal at some point!

Awesome updates Rewright! Your downtown is taking shape very nicely. Between New Market and Packersfan Wenzel, I'm seriously starting to become inspired and motivated to attempt a CJ on the region/country that I'm working on! Keep up the beautiful work, you definitely have an eye for details!

Downtown is coming along nicely, what sidewalk mod are you using? It doesn't look like alot of your roads actually have a sidewalk, which actually adds alot to its sprawl look I think.

The downtown area looks like it is coming along very nicely! I actually like the amount of parking - helps it blend with the surrounding suburbs (that and provides land for future building... ) Fantastic as usual and look forward to more!

I decided to redo portions of the convention center/coliseum complex, converting

the surface lot into a garage, enlarging the conference area and adding another hotel.

Hope you all like the changes.

You're region is AWESOME! It really looks like I'm looking at this thru Google Earth...it looks that good! I think maybe the only thing I see that could be improved upon is your airports runway (needs more markings for the thresholds and TDZ stripes) and maybe replacing the Maxis BAe 146's w/some of the regional jets found on the stex. Anyways, keep up the great work and I definitely can't wait to see more of Oakland!

Dfnva, I noticed that too, it reminds me of seeing all the sprawl along I95 in Fredericksburg.

I live an hour west of Columbia, MO, it reminds me of the sprawl along I-70 in Columbia, MO.
