That's how my town looks now when I installed the barsoom project but I'm not ready to show it yet. I think we should move this  topic to New Horizons.

This is my town.

Industrial area.

 

This is one of Terring's buildings.

I relloted it: put the garage to the front side and added some props. You can see trucks coming out of the garage. This building instantly grew in my city but I didn't even open the plug in manager or set statistics. I can't seem to figure out why it grew or how I made it growable the first time. It co exists with the original version in the same city.

Same with this one. I added some props, smoke effects, and a place for flying car to land. The robots are making a small space rocket. People don't have to do all the hard work anymore since the petroleum age is long past.

Looks nice. I think you should use a blocker to block the default buildings. I don't have anything against them but they are just too old fashioned for futuristic cities. The barsoom buildings are more futuristic...And some of the spaceships look like they might crash into the towers. It's not perfect (I've seen better futuristic cities), but it ain't shabby. How did you get so many skyscrapers to grow? Did you use a growth mod? The close up views are nice.

lol i appreciate ur comments Konstantil i have only just started making fun cities and this is exactly the response i was expecting so i can become invoved in the future city design scene lol. more feed back = more fixes and better looking cities. u opened my eyes to amazing bats n mods, this forum itself has been a huge comodity, hopefuly thru me u have touched many others

Each of the files blocks a certain category of the maxis buildings so it's up to you.

Since I'm focused on my loting projects, my cities are not what they used to be. Even my plugins folder is almost empty (I don't even have N.A.M. yet). But sometimes I build a city, just to do something different and test my lots. This is a small just-for-fun city I have made.

The Martian freight airship is an unused prop from . I just used the Lot Editor to make it floating and give some life in my industrial zones.

You can use simmars no-vehicles.dat to block all cars and get good replacements for each.

I like variety. Watching the same car wandering around over and over again is boring. I like having tons of different cars. I even have a few 1920's cars in my cities
