The Audience is on the north side of the dome; theres two pieces, one on each side. I think they're on the buttress-like things that hold the tracks for the straight-sliding pieces of the roof. (Got all that?)

Hey man,

 

I am just a curious fan of your building here. Umm will you be able to let the back of the building hang about 2 spaces over the back of the lot so I can place a peice of the CN railway tracks under it? This would be great in my recreation of my Toronto Region. (Yes I am starting again)

sweet job on the skydome...i posted my request accidently on another thread accidently!!! but i gotta say i can't wait to get a decent skydome model...it would be sweet if we can even use it as a mod to replace the original majorleague ball park in the game. I'm glad to hear that theres also an AC center gonna be under developement...SWEET!! i can't wait til my toronto looks as real as real life...I think a team should get together and make an entire Downtown Toronto models pack...like how in RH they have the Houston, Euro, 1940's NY and Old CHI-Town...it would be sweet if you can the same skyline as toronto!

I hope that once your model is completed it is the correct size in the game. I am wondering what you are going to do about the south lot line since it curves because of Bremner Blvd. Excellent work so far.

ok, i am continuing work on this project, but now i need to know, should i make it with the baseball, or football layout?

Although I'm not from Toronto, I would think a baseball layout would be more appropriate, I usually think of the Blue Jays when I think of Skydome.  But I may be biased as an American who doesn't regularly follow the CFL, so I don't have a good feel for the stadium's football significance.

By 2006, the Skydome will be baseball only since the Toronto Argos will have permanently moved to their new Varsity Stadium site on the University of Toronto campus.

Also, make sure to include the 2,200 employees that work at the skydome.

Yea but every now and then the Buffalo Bills play a preseason game there. Last one was awhile ago tho against Dallas when Troy Aikman was still QB

Every time I take the train to Union Station, it's great to see all the kids peering through the windows to see the big people hanging over the train tracks ! It would be a great detail to have on the building; it would make it a true Canadian landmark.

I still say make it baseball however (unless you're up to making both, which I'm sure you'd be fully capable).  Preseason NFL games are about as significant as a single hydrogen atom with respect to the entire universe!

Mm... I think that the baseball layout would fit the best. We just moved to Brampton, so if you need any pictures of stuff downtown, just ask. kd, I think that I can pester my father into bringing us to a Jays game; I should be able to get you pics of the scoreboard; possibly even exact picture of the windows.

Not that they may be totally relevant to what you need, but I remember I had caught a couple odd pictures of SkyDome when I was in Toronto last year.  Unfortunately I had to scale them down to 800 pixels wide, but they're still decent quality.  Maybe they'll help, maybe they won't, but I figured I'd post them before it's too late.

Someone really needs to bug Dirk to give us a bigger text window!  This was difficult!

I have been doing some work on the outside since the inside of the stadium is approaching its final shape.  even though I havent shown updates, I am still working on it.

I will provide an update picture once the outside looks a little more presentable.

That texture for the concrete isn't right; too yellow, but I'm sure that's not final anyway. Also, your missing some of the finer details visible in seargentcms pics; however, judging from your work on the petronas towers, I'm sure that the detail is coming!
