    Dear visitors

There are some new British BATs on the STEX. So I started to work on this little project again. There will be some new comercials in the centre of the town.

New comercials in the town centre

This is how the village centre was looking after the first new development:

    ukvillagetowncentre10fr.jpg

    And some years later:

    ukvillagetowncentre28qn.jpg

This is a corner that doesn't look very good because of the double zebra:

    eckebevor2el.jpg

What do you think about this style? (Possible with the new Euro Road Mod, I believe):

    eckedanach2bs.jpg

I am currently very busy with real life. And I am proud to tell everyone that my first son was born a week ago.

But I hope to be able to post some more pictures soon. So - stay tuned...

I have some images to show!

Some time ago, I suggested to design more UK 'in-line' shops and comercials to go with gascooker's fantastic UK buildings at the BSC Gascooker Emporium . A discussion and later a new thread ( The Great British BAT Thread ) was started about this topic. Since then, a lot of new stuff was presented there and released on the STEX. Now I have started to incorporate some of this new BATs in my village.

Near the market, some new shops have opened:

    aukvillagenew10tf.jpg

This are rp2005's UK Shops 1b . They are next door to the good old 'Yorkshire Grey'. Unfortunately, I was only able to get the 'Choices Video'. I don't know, why. Here is another picture:

    aukvillagenew20id.jpg

And now, I will show you images of another area I have redone. It is close to the station:

    aukvillagenew32tv.jpg

    aukvillagenew43kl.jpg

    And an overview:

    aukvillagenew58pj.jpg

More work is in progress. And please leave a comment...

    Some new buildings

This area was almost completly rebuild:

    ukvillagenew3p10qc.jpg

    Here are some closer images:

    ukvillagenew3p21mb.jpg

The buildings with the red roof are nbay's Arcadia Row 1 . They are rather french than british, but they are made so well that I simply had to have them in the village. And I think they fit in well. What do you think?

    ukvillagenew3p30sl.jpg

At the other side of the street you can see the first 'White Swan Pub' that grew 'in-line' in this town. I am a little bit proud about it, it took so long...

    ukvillagenew3p44uq.jpg

    The back yard:

    ukvillagenew3p57mn.jpg

Next door there are some more of rp2005's new UK shops. They are great too, aren't they?

    ukvillagenew3p61ee.jpg

This is the next corner that recieved new development:

    ukvillagenew3p74uf.jpg

    An appartment block was build:

    ukvillagenew3p81lo.jpg

Here you see how close it is to the area shown above:

    ukvillagenew3p98pa.jpg

And the last picture is an overview of this area:

    ukvillagenew3p108ht.jpg

That's it for now. There are some more new developments in the line. So - stay tuned.

    Comments are welcome as always.

    congrats on the first child!

I know its a bit late now as you are ending the CJ but have you considered using mikeseiths Euro car mod? It replaces all of the standard Maxis vehicles and american style vehicles with actual european models we get in the UK (e.g. smart cars, renault kangoo vans)? It would make your excellent UK style village even more British! To be honest mikeseith has done so many vehicles that we get in the UK... e.g. Honda Civics etc

Welcome back!! Glad to see you again here.
Yes, I have some new ideas, and there are some new great british lots on the STEX. So I will continue working on this village for some time. We will see if it is worth it.

    And now, the long awaited

    Southern industrial complex

The game's just like that sometimes.  All of them grow for me though I seem to get 'Whitegates' more than any of the others.  It's always nice to see someone using my creations in a CJ and I like the combination of my shops and gascooker's terraces - although the styles are different they seem to work quite well together.

Even more so in such a well put together city.

lovely CJ, you have really demonstrated the full versatility of SC4. One ques: what are the three/four story houses. As far as i can tell one is Victorian and is a Gascooker production, the other two are Georgian, grey front, they seem to be on one of the prop packs from Gascooker. If your not sure what i'm referring to i'll post a pic.

    Thanks

    Dave

I am glad to be able to welcome you again! And thank you for your nice post. Good to hear that you still like the village.

    Spike345:
Welcome to the village! Thank you for posting.

    And about this park:
It isn't a real park. The two smaller sides are pieces of marrast's Walkways Stairs Set ver. 3.1 . In the middle there are two normal in-game small parks and some of morifari's Simple Empty Tiles . The trees are planted one by one by hand.

About the fire and police stations:
There are no police stations in the village, since it is rather small they are not nessesary. But I have some fire stations, the normal ones. Just have a look at this pictures:

    From page 1:
    aukvillagepart166iz.jpg

    From page 9:
    aukvillageindustp38xy.jpg

    I hope this helps you.

If I find the time, I will upload some new images later.

And if you want to see something special, just tell me about it...

Like the Garden Centre (flower farm). Its quite typical of an english town/village to have Garden Centres on the outskirts of town.
