Very nice cemetary....I am a little curious of what all those trucks are doing about the cemetary. 3.gif I assume there is some industry near by, but you can never tell what Dr. Vu is going to do next. (Is that his name? The evil in Rush Hour)

That is so cool your from Meersburg. In fact, when I go to Fritz (do you call it that in Meersburg too?) I take a bus going to Meersburg to get to where I'm going...haha, awesome....(I'm not actually going to be in Fritz, but in Fischbach which is closer to Meersburg....I lied, lol)

I'd seen some pic of Meersburg before, especially the part by the lake in different travel books while looking for Fritz. I was always impressed by how beautiful it looks, I must see it while I'm there! Thanks for the pics, the aerial picture is nice because it shows the whole town (it seems rather small, maybe this is just the old town?) Fritz in all the travel books seems much more boring, lol, since the big thing is zepplins.

About those trucks: There is a small farm nearby, I think it is the source of them.

So you are going to Fischbach. I know it. I still can't believe it! If you want to know something about the area of the Bodensee, just ask me...

    jacqulina:
Thank you for leaving a nice post again!

    Traffic_Jam:
I am glad that you like the cemetery.

    Tennismaster1:
    I posted in your CJ.

And now something about the village. I changed the southern residential area again:

A new small canal in the southern part of the village

    First an overview:

    And now some close-ups:

    aukvillagep24p43cs.jpg

    aukvillagep24p53pi.jpg

And this has to be said:
Thank you very much, simgoober, for giving us this fantastic addition to the brick canals. I simply love it!

And what do you think? They are great, those small canals, aren't they?

Did I really miss an update?

Great work on that cementary. I really like how you combined the ingame temple/church/whatsoever with the ingame cementary and the cementary tiles.

About the canals: SimGoober realy did a great work. Again ...
I should use them, too, but at the moment they wouldn't fit into my region ...

    Anyway, great work!

    Halt die Ohren steif!

    A question to everyone:
I am looking for a supermarket or some other comercial that would fit in this place:

Do you have an idea? Any suggestions?

Nice update barnatom, like the canals, and that little farm. 1.gif

As for the supermarket, i think there's a set of Sainsburys supermarkets on the STEX, one of them might fit in.

https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=3769 Albert Heijn is too Big (but a nice one though). Try this one:
https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=3752 Aldi (you know them in Germany). This should fit on a 2x3 (also on a 3x3). I think it would also fit the area (not too much height). Only one problem: I am not sure that the 3x2 is a plop so you might have to wait and demolish quite a bit before you get it.

    Hope it helps.

EDIT: Nice use of SG's thin canals. I just downloaded them today and you already have them in a CJ. Wow, that's fast.

Thank you very much for this nice post. I am happy to hear that you like this small CJ that much!

    Kwakelaar:
Nice to see you again and thank you for your comment.

    jacqulina:
    Thank you again...

    Peng74:
Hey, welcome again. Thank you for your post and you suggestion. I already have the Sainsburys markets, some of them are already in the village, but they don't fit in this place very well.

    Nik-Nik:
Thank you for your ideas. I don't like the Aldi for that place, it simply is too boring, too low welth...

    vester_DK:
Thank you for the idea with the service stations. I already have two of them in the village, but I didn't know that they are available in that many sizes. I will have a look at them. And thank you for posting.

    Some new developement

Here I am waiting for a row of frogface's new UK shops to develope:

    aukvillagep25p11pr.jpg

Due to large demand, a new housing project for the low income people has started in the western forest:

    aukvillagep25p29fh.jpg

    aukvillagep25p39pc.jpg

These two projects aren't finished. What do you think? Are they worth the effort?

And I would be happy to hear about some more ideas for the supermarket.

about and the city is assembled like a painting wonderful

Great updates. That's exactly how a British town looks in my imagination (maybe also in real life, but I couldn't tell, since I've never been to Great Britain).

Great use of the SG canals and frogface shops.

Thank you for this nice comment. I am glad that you appreciate the aork I put into the small details.

    PhilsCafe:
Thank you very much for your post. I am very happy that the village matches your imagination of a british town. As I myself have never seen a real british town, too, this is very important for me.

    vester_DK:
    Thank you for this info...

    And now:

Some more images of the western forest area

This is how the new housing project looks like now:

    aukvillagep26p10wb.jpg

A small forest track was established to connect the housing area with the canal south to it:

I agree Barnatom, it is kinda low welthy. After I posted in your CJ I read 6Underground's New Rhodesia CJ, that I haven't visited for a while and I saw a very nice post office which would fit very nicely in your CJ.

    new%20Rhodesia%20Pub.JPG

However there are 2 potential problems:
    1. it looks like it is a 2x4 lot
    2. I believe 6Underground has not released his lots to Stex yet.
He made a hint in his CJ that he would post them, but I cannot say when 34.gif. Harrass him for it 9.gif

I like the new housing project. Who's lots are it? (the appartment buildings).

And with some pride I announce that finnaly some of Gascookers lots have been build in my cities as well. It's not as much as you have, but I just started playing with this region and I do not have a lot of time to play (my wife is already accusing me of beeing too addicted to this game46.gif).

I like the mixed use of the differnt zones that you showed in the overview ...

about the gap ... hmmm ... difficult ...

Bobbo62 has a lot of nice ploppable gasstations. I do use them a lot ...

Thank you, I am glad that you like the pictures.

Thank you for leaving a nice comment again. You are always very welcome here...

    Nik-nik:
I have seen this post office by 6underground in The Great British BAT Thread . I like it, but it seems to be a little bit out of scale compared with gascooker's buildings.
The appartment buildings are called 'Stephen Drive' and were made by '6459978'. They are great, aren't they?
You should try to get some of the angeled suburban homes, they really help to get more diversity.
(I have the same problem with my girlfriend...)

    jacqulina:
Thank you for this nice comment.

Bienvenue mon amis! Thank you for your nice comment again. And I am glad that you like the new housing project. And the canals, too.

    wallasey:
Thank you for your opinion on the new housing estate. ince I am not from Britain, I am doing only guesswork here. So I am glad to hear, that I got close to reality.

    frogface:
Welcome to the village! Qnd thank you for leaving a reply. I like your new UK high street shops.

    Nardo69:
Hey, welcome again. Nice to hear that you like the dirt tracks. And thank you for your suggestion for the comercial zone. I already know this gas stations, and I like them, too. But I would prefere a supermarket in this place. Something like 'EDEKA' or 'Kaisers', something more wealthy.

    Dear visitors

With a some bit of sadness I announce the completion of this little CJ (that was never meant to be a CJ). As you know, the whole town is build in one medium city tile and it is filled up. I have to admit that I am running out of ideas.

I am very happy about the amazing feedback this CJ got. And I want to say thank you, thank you very much to everyone who has left a reply.

Perhaps I will restart work on this village when some new and interesting UK stuff is released on the STEX. I like this little village very much and I am a little bit proud of the acomplishment I made with it. So, I won't forget it.

Again, thank you very much for your interest in this thread.

On the other side, I have started a new CJ called A mexican town . Its title is description enough. I would be happy to see you there again.
