No-one wants to get pizza-sniped.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I actually had a beer at work today. One of my coworkers completely plastered by the end of the day and no one had a problem with that. Yup, must be St. Paddy's day...

The Irish actually don't make that big a deal out of St. Patrick's Day. Certainly not as much as the Americans and Aussies do.

Indeed. St. Paddy's is a pretty big deal around here. Most celebrate on the previous Saturday. I of course took part in the mayhem and ended up at a foosball party in the hood. Then I ran into my ex-girlfriend and spoke with her while simultaneously hitting on the girl to my left. Good times.

Tonight I just did a wee nip with my dad.

I didn't do a bracket this year because I can't even fake being interested in college basketball. Also, Tom Izzo is a fellow alumni and his Spartans stunk, so...

I didn't do anything for St. Patrick's Day despite having upwards of 25% Irish blood. Did drink my first Guiness, though. Didn't enjoy it, however.

If my sister would not go to school in ireland for one year I even would not know who St. Packie was.... Therefore it's not even worth a mention where I live....

I detested my first Guinness as well. The taste kind of grows on you. Now I find it to be quite delicious.

Whatever you do, don't assume that your Irish blood will make you like Killian's Irish Red. That's just Original Coors with red food coloring. :dead:

What, like blue raspberry pop is raspberry... with blue colouring. That ruined my childhood finding that out. Was always looking for a blue raspberry.

Skimbo: St. Patrick is commonly referred to as St. Paddy, not St. Packie.

@Muck308: I've heard a couple times that Guiness is an acquired taste. I'm not a huge fan of KIllian's, but nor am I a beer snob, so any beer is fine for me, above a certain level of quality hahaha. I'm partial to Japanese beers, though.

Never been drunk, don't particularly relish the idea either. Seen the consequences too much (downside of working part-time in a bar) :P

I've never wanted to drink alcohol. And I am 19, so I am legally allowed to here.

Well, there's being drunk and then there's being drunk. You can get drunk without throwing up and passing out. Some people just lack the self-control to not go too far.
