Yup. never neglect the "duh" answers. Not everything is complicated.

It wasn't really a "duh" answer though. The question asked us to prove that the sum of wave functions e^{i(k₁x-w₁t)}+e^{i(k₂x-w₂t)} can be written as a single wave function multiplied by a time-dependent modulating factor.

And it might not be too complicated, but that wave function is complex.

Hitting the "reply" button under any one post will quote it. If you want to post without quoting you have to use the quick reply box or click "add reply" at the bottom or top.

As for multiquote, just click on that button under every post you want to quote, then hit "add reply" at the bottom or top. You should now be quoting every post you clicked.
