Wow! It seems you have reached that level where you really master what you are doing so that it doesn't take much trial and error any longer.

Keep that 4x10, I think it's practically perfect. It will be a "stealth" BAT - you don't really see that it's there, but there's more variation.

As for the 10x24, the only suggestion I have is to tone down the darkest patches of the grime you added to the walls. At the first glance, I wasn't sure if there was a smoothing group problem in your model or if it was just some dirt and grime painted onto the texture. I guess it#s just grime you panted on, but as I said: I'd make the darkest spots somewhat more subtle, then it would be perfect.

    Only post the side renders as the grime is more noticeable on the sides.

    and as you made me go to PS again, I made a second variation of wall textures ^^

    no night shots as the nightlites are the same.. a bit lazy due to extreme heat :dead:

    This looks really great now.

    I like hjow you can see the curtains behind the window glass.

    Also, I like the grime you added to your wall texture. Imho, grime is perfecet if:

    1: the grime is visible

    2: the grime isn't noticeable.

    And in this case, it is definitely true.

    Looking forward the nite lites. :)

    When T Wrecks said that the "4x10 is a stealth BAT" I had to do a trouple take. "How is a bixel sized building a stealthy BAT..." Then I went back to the last page and realized your buildings are individual tiles not sc game tiles... Great buildings, confusing names :D Keep it up.

    was playing and testing these new apartments and I found a small city block that, I could not help my self and not take a screenshot XD

    Wow! The apartments are very similar to the maxis buildings, I like this a lot.

    Upon closer inspection of the screenshot and of the differences, it looks like you could make the parapets somewhat thinner, see the Maxis buildings. It's just a minor detail, though. I'd take these buildings as they are.

    thank you :) well I meant the parapets to be that thick, as they are a bit low, so thicker safer I say. But on next bats I'll take that in consideration ;)

    Well, if your buildings siphon off your sexiness, then you should stop BATting ASAP, or people will end up running away from you. :P

    Seriously, the red/brown ground floor texture may be a tad too saturated. I don't think it's necessary to desaturate as far as the Maxis counterpart, but a bit could help.

    eheh, well when people start to run away, I know I went to far ^^ and yes, you are right, now I see better it is a bit saturated.

    so, few clicks on PS and here is a new wall texture:

    a bit less saturation on the red/brown and also a lil more brightness too

    Oh my when I saw the Maxis Counterpart I almost thought it was yours. :O

    I can barely tell the difference between yours and the Maxis houses, in terms of quality and textures!

    These are great! I can't wait to see them growing in my cities.

    We - as seasoned players - are really having a hard time to tell them apart. Imagine a newcomer! You could totally smuggle these BATs into his game, and he would never notice.

    How do you make those? Do you make custom lots for them, or do you hook them into the appropriate building family?

    well, thank you guys, that means I have reached my goal :D

    I do them following the Maxis' buildings LODs, I take its dimensions and model them. Sometimes (like this one) some scaling has to be done, sometimes in gmax, other times Cogeo's Model Tweaker does wonders for me :D it all a matter of trial and error in the end :)

    That's not what I meant. :) I wanted to know whether these will come with .SC4lot files made specifically for them, or if they will come without any .SC4Lot files so that they grow together with the Maxis buildings on the Maxis lots. I hope I've been clearer this time.
