zone view cluttered

I have no doubt that this is because of a plugin, because it started happening long after I had started using NAM/CAM.

Anyone have an idea which one could be causing the problem?

Thanks.

I'm not sure what it is, but I am having the same problem, always wondered what it was.

Try removing the CAM and see if it helps. Leave the NAM, this doesn't cause anything.

I found that the plugin called "NAM Traffic Simulator" was responsible.

The problem has gone away since I removed it using its uninstall exe.

Its caused by props being visible even with zone view on. If you use the Traffic Simulator Configuration Tool you can change it so the props dont show though and without having to delete that file.

Actually, I find the visible props very useful in locating otherwise invisible city-owned lots.  They are there, but only the props can identify them since they don't have a zone type.

It's not a bug - it's a feature! Previously, when you switched to zone view and back, the game took aaaaaaaages to re-load all buildings and props. Now it only needs to re-load the buildings, hence switching back and forth is way, way faster than before. This is also very useful when you are affected by the water graphics bug and quickly want to fix it to take some snapshots for your CJ.

As far as I know, it is default in the newest NAM.

I got the latest nam but I don't have no props in zone view... Was there an option upon installing nam to disable this? If so, maybe that's the reason why I don't have it yet.

It is instaled by default in the newest NAM (Aug2010). The NAM Traffic Subsystem can be used to turn the option on or off. If it wasn't installed with NAM , it is available here (Link).
