I have just now decided to dive into the electronic world of creating my own mods. I know it all starts with the buildings so I have started to dive into creating my first building.

I want to make my building as close as posible in scale to what it would be if it was built so I am trying to be as acurate as possible here.

I am working with lot builder for sim city 4 by gmax. Once I am done it I will export it to the sim city lot builder and take things from there to the next stage.

So for now all I need to know is what unit of are the talking about when the say 1 square is equal to 16.0. Are they talking about meters or feet?

Thanks.

I don't really BAT, but I know that the 1x1 city tile is one grid i tile in gmax. When or if I BAT, I go off of that,

The 16.0 for one city tile is in meters.

I just realized somthing no one has probally ever gave any thought to. At 16 metters the road ways are way to wide. It's not possible for them to be 16 metters across. I know it's just a game but if you think about it maxis messed up on those calculations.

Clearly maxis could just subdivide the tiles into 8m^2 to compensate for smaller roads.

SC4 roads aren't exactly 16m wide, in fact quite a bit of that is taken up by sidewalks. There are, however numerous roads in reality that ARE, in fact, 16m wide. In fact I live about 400 feet from one. Two way, one lane each direction. Seems pretty realistic to me.
