The NAM Team is pleased to announce the release of Version 29 of the Network Addon Mod!  Here's a look at what's new:

  • New Underground Rail puzzle pieces have been added.
  • Numerous RUL, texture and pathing errors have been fixed, including the Car and Passenger Ferry issue.
  • NAM Controller and Bridge Controller files have been updated.
  • Updates to the Traffic Simulator Configuration tool to support capacity improvements to TuLEPs, the RHW and the NWM.
  • Nightlighting fixed on Elevated Rail/Tram vehicles.

In addition, the following NAM component files were updated:

NAM Essentials Version r85

PLEASE NOTE: If you have downloaded NAM Version 29, you already have the files in NAM Essentials r85 and do not need to download it.

RealHighway Mod Version 4.1.0

  • Numerous improvements to the Neighbor Connector pieces, including the elimination of the unnecessary arrows and the "Eastside" placement issues on multi-tile Neighbor Connectors.

IMPORTANT! As the fix for the "Eastside" issue required reorienting the puzzle piece, you will need to rebuild any and all RHW-6C, RHW-8S or RHW-10 Neighbor Connections.

  • Several pathing issues fixed.
  • Textures reprocessed to improve quality, particularly for Zoom 3.
  • Wealth-level issues fixed on several ramp interfaces.
  • Numerous improvements to FLEXFly system, including increased stability and one additional piece (all found under the RHW Curves TAB Loop)
  • Sharp 90-degree draggable curve added to EMIS network.
  • New Curved Ground-to-Elevated MIS Transition pieces added.
  • The RHW-6S now has a higher capacity than the RHW-4.
  • The Elevated RHW-4 and MIS networks now have draggable orthogonal-orthogonal crossings over RHW-6S, RHW-6C, RHW-8S and RHW-10.
  • Universal Lot Editor Textures and Path Files added to support third-party RHW-related Lots.

Network Widening Mod Version 1.1.0

  • The TLA-3, TLA-5, ARD-3, MAVE-6, OWR-3, OWR-4 and OWR-5 networks have all had their capacity increased.
  • Fixes to RULs and path files.
  • Overhanging "bite" added to Orthogonal-Diagonal transition for TLA-3, AVE-2 and ARD-3 networks.

NOTE: Existing Orthogonal-Diagonal transitions may appear a bit "dark" on top upon installation--click over them to update them.

I can't get the download to work. Been trying for hours. It trickled in, the got stuck at 16.9 MB and stopped. I tried clearing the browser cache and starting over. Tried a different browser. Downloads are working from other sites so I don't think the problem is on my end. Anyone else having issues?

Excuse my stupid question, but do we need to uninstall the previous version of NAM?

It's been so long, I can't remember lol.

What an awesome unexpected surprise! ^__^

And yes Will, you do have to uninstall the old NAM before installing the new.

It will not let me download it either. Was at first downloading at 4.9kbps; Figured it was due to Star Craft II downloading on my netbook and turned the netbook off. Went to restart the download and now it's as though it's in an infinate ping or something. Firefox just keeps saying 'Loading...' Can't even download the thing and it's why I signed up. D:

Is there an elevated over road - one way road interchange on this update. That is some thing that would be nice to have.

Thanks, fellows.  I wondered what I was going to do tomorrow, er, today.  Good grief, it is 03:32 AM.  Goodnight!

Do we have to delete all previous editions of things like NAM Essentials, Real Highway Mod, Network Widening Mod etc for the NAM29 to work? I recently had to replace my hard drive and SC4 Deluxe was installed and it worked fine. However now it takes 5 minutes to load the game and when I try to use the Ped mall tiles I notice they flicker and when I plop them the game crashes. I have older versions of the NAM May 2010 version, RHW, NWM and NAM Essentials installed in the plug in folder.

Yes, delete all older versions.  They will conflict with the Version 29 installation otherwise, and may be causing some of your issues.

The RHW and NAM files on the STEX will also be getting updated slightly sometime later today.  An old copy of NetworkAddonMod_GroundLightRailxRoad.dat had slipped into the NAM, and on the RHW end, I've fixed the missing preview model texture that had been occurring on a few RHW pieces and gotten the EMIS draggable sharp 90-degree curve working properly now.

The new files are already up on the LEX at SC4D as well.
