Thanks for all the comments everyone! The navy base is nearing completion, and maybe if I get an hour of uninterupted play today, (unlikely) the naval update will be tonight.

Otherwise, I will have to fit it in some time during the school week, whenever I get the chance.

Wow, I have always been impressed by your ability to create massive dowtowns and now by your ability to make great naval ports and the like. Great job MT!

This is a really great CJ!
The port and naval bases are the best ive seen! I might even try a mass seaport soon29.gif
I have to agree with 6underground though, downtowns should be quite dense, and the skyscrapers should be a bit closer, although distinctive towers should have a little space around them40.gif40.gif40.gif

Well, I said it would be unlikely I would post the update tonight, and I was right. 8.gif

Anyway, yah, this time around My downtown is spaced out, I have been trying to space my downtowns more and more ever since Gotland 2, because I had an ultra dense downtown in it that didn't get such a warm reception. I was going for a Chicago style skyline, which is sort of spaced out, but yes, I will clean up some of the stray 'scrapers if you guys want me to.

Ok, the pictures are all sitting on my HD, ready to be uploaded, but since there are 40 of them, I am going to split the update into 2 updates with 20 pictures each.

    So, here we go!

    p16zb.jpg

Welcome, to the Rock Ridge Naval Installation!

    p29hn.jpg

A picture of the radar facility, some storehouses, and various other buildings.

    p34pr.jpg

At the very top of this picture, you can see some of the bases Barraks, while the rest of the picture is dominated by the installations many store houses, containing everything from ammunition to foul weather gear.

    p48ae.jpg

This picture shows the heart of the navy base, which features the National Naval Headquarters, most of the bases Barraks, and many other office buildings that keep the Navy running from day to day.

    p55fo.jpg

In this picture, you can see the same barraks that were in the other picture, the Navy's own seprate power station, and the great grass field, which replaces a conventional wall with a large, well cut field with no cover that is constantly watched by automated chain guns and missile launchers for invaders.

    p60ty.jpg

The eastern section of the facility contains a few more barraks, the National Guard Base, and a few other buildings.

Ok now, finally to some ships!

    p73om.jpg

Here is a picture of the aging fleet of destroyers, which are expected to be scrapped and replaced in 2 years. They are slow compaired to newer ships, their firepower is below average, and their armor is below standard. Still, they are useful to have around, and make excellent sub killers.

    p93cf.jpg

The supply dock is the busiest part of the Rock Ridge Naval Facility, with a constant streem of supply ships bringing everything from fuel, oil, and ammo for the ships, to food, to more paper. The navy prefers their deliveries to come by boat, to minimize the risk of car bombs or stolen supply trucks.

    p107ps.jpg

A tower of sensor arrays on the great field.

    p111ye.jpg

Another view of the Navy HQ, and the barraks.

    p122cb.jpg

This picture shows some of the warehouses, other buildings, and the N.S.S. Cruiser Determination.

    p159ue.jpg

A close up of the N.S.S Retribution.

    p139xk.jpg

One of the 4 carriers Newark has built, this one, the N.S.S Arrow Head can accomodate 120 planes.

    p146lk.jpg

The second carrier built, this one, the N.S.S Independance can hold 140 planes, and was completed 2 years later than the N.S.S Arrow Head.

    p166eq.jpg

The cruisers N.S.S Dirk and N.S.S Pegasus, docked for minor repairs.

    p178hg.jpg

The old Battleship Row which now mostly serves Newarks vast fleet of Cruisers.

    p181ul.jpg

The flagship and only surviving battleship in Newark's Navy, The N.S.S. Defiance is capable of dishing out a huge amount of firepower, and owns the immediate strech of ocean around those guns wherever it goes. However, A secret government project, code named Foehammer is in the works, and if it is sucessful, a new fleet of Battleships could emerge. More on that later.

Thats all for now, more to come later!

Great update - a very impressive military installation!
Those camoflagued missile launchers on the ground look somewhat familiar to me 1.gif

    hammo: Thanks!
    Traffic_Jam: Thanks!
    Mikeaut1: Thanks!
    sirgeoj2: Thanks!
city_lover-niko: Don't worry, Part 2 SHOULD be out tomorrow.
Nardo69: Thanks! I hope the second half of the update is on another page too! 2.gif But only you guys can make that happen! So comment!
Kumba: Thanks for the comment! The warehouses were made by Simgoober, but I merged them together in the lot editor to make them bigger. The actual ones are like 3x5 or something like that.

To all: Thanks for viewing, and I hope you decide to comment soon!

P.S. The navy base actually isn't that big, I just take very detailed pictures when it comes to this sort of thing.

I repeat nardos words of awe2.gif, and then tremble in the almighty power of Newark's navy.
(I hope your army and airforce bases aren't as big, my Wifi can barely handle it!)

I saw that you use the Super Demand Modd and the Radical Ordinance Mod, but I havn't been able to find them anywhere on the STEX. You wouldn't happen to have a link where I could download them from?
