problems with the NAM

Hello. i have downloaded the june 2009 version of NAM, and several problems have arisen:

1. when i place GLR lines, i do not see any trains running. even though i know people are using the rail.

2. when i place certain puzzle pieces, especially double decker el rail, high el rail, and glr-el rail transition, the game crashes.

does anyone know if there are any files i need? bug fixes? patches?

I have a dell 530s computer running windows vista 32 bit, with an intel dual core 2.2 ghz processor, 2 gb of ram, 288gb hard drive space. my video card is a Radeon HD pro 2400.

1. You won't see trains until the line is getting alot of usage

2. This is a known bug in SC4, if you hover a transit enabled puzzle piece over another one the game will crash, this is explained in the NAM readme

That only happens if you dont have the  Rush Hour expanpsion pack. or  the deluxe version.

Rush hour is required for the NAM to work. It is also needed for about 95% of the other downloads on this site.Until you get Rush hour not much stuff here will work. You can go buy rush hour or deluxe at at store. It is not abvalible for download.

i have rush hour, and the updates etc.., been playing the game for 5 years , im gona install the new may 2010 nam and see if that helps

I tried to install the new Nam update and it did not go well. I uninstalled the old Nam and installed the new one, but the real highway update said nothing about uninstalling the rural highway mod, so I left it in there. I started the game and none of the new features worked. It would show a red arrow or say the piece was missing. I tried to uninstall the old NAM and RHW, installed the new NAM and Real Highway Mod, and ran the game. Problem is the same thing happened with the red arrows and missing pieces. I read the NAM before I installed it and thought I followed the directions correctly. The worse part about it was I had RTMT, DAMN, SAM, STR, HSR, and a host of custom bridges, which are all installed through NAM. When I uninstalled the old NAM I think it took all of those guys with it. In short, I am so frustrated with it I have not even tried to fix it. I wonder is there a way to recover old folder structures. Please help!!!

I restarted the game and added a plethora of new downloads including NAM 2010, unfortunately both my elevated and normal rail gets no usage at all.

I even tried cutting off residential from commercial blocks connected only by elevated rail/ train and still no usage, any ideas?

If you saved a copy of the older plugins. you can place the RTMT, SAM, etc. files back into the Plugins folder as they were before. They were not changed with the new version and should be compatable. If you did not save, but they're in your Trash Can, you can restore them and make the necessary changes to the Plugins folder. If they have been totally removed from your computer, then unfortunately, they will need to be re-installed. The only mod that needed to be removed other than NAM would be the RHW since it did change some structure.

Do you have a left-hand or right-hand drive side version of the game. You need to be sure to install the correct drive side component of NAM to match your game. It's the first option when installing. The rail issue is sometimes a sympton of the wrong driving-side component installed.

Are you having trouble with something? Providing some details will help get better suggestions.

Just a first guess... You say you have Rush Hour - did you also install the game patch?

still can play it, installed the new nam , have all the updates and everithing, still when im installing the streets and avenues for my new cities with the game paused, and CTD

Please help

im gona try and install the game from cero
