Volume measures how much your transportation system is used. Try going to the congestion pannel instead of the volume pannel. Congestion measures how congested your streets are not how much it is used... go figure!! 3.gif

At that traffic volume, you would have congestion anyway. I often use a subway system in my cities to combat traffic. I see that you have elevated rail, though, and you appearantly already have a subway as well.

Any city that is that densely populated always has traffic problems, though. You might try spreading your city out to new horizons ahead. It appears that your city isn't likely to continue growing up for some time unless you build out. I wonder how you ever made it that dense, however. Nice job!

be less dense and try a common city where Downtown is in center with low density suburbs

Nice city, but if you dont like all of those repeated buildings then you can download new ones off the STEX and you could even get the CAM from SC4 Devotion

you should download deadwoods bus and subway stops that are placed right on the street so they take any place. use it and place several of them just so your sims have an alternate path from using the roads

B33Rm47: You've been hear for the larger part of a year. Everyone makes mistakes, and I'm certainly better at doing just that than most. (Oh, and, uh, well, am I bragging? Oops, I guess I am! LOL.) I still make mistakes, and I've been here nearly two years. If you still consider yourself new, then welcome to Simtroplolis!

It seems that you already have a good subway network, but Road top mass transit stops are available via the stex and allow you to place mass transit stations directly over the roads. Be careful about one way roads, and don't place them in front of residential areas. This might help you, but again, you seem to have a great transportation network as it is. You might try doubling the subway lines as well.

Hope this helps!

Replace all of the streets and road with one way roads. Make them alternate. 2nd,get Road Top Mass Transit.link- https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1057. It will let you install an on- road bus system(and subway system). Be sure to get the dependency!(The instaler comes with everything exept one dependancy in the description. The readme list dependencies that you don't need). Good luck!

Traffic Simulator Z is an option installed with the NAM. You have a few more options, but only one of those simulators can be chosen.

I think that you Up and Down Blocks are too long...too much traffic on too long of a street... Even if you have subways, Maxis default of making cars the dominate mode of transport, still makes in a city that dense... if you didn't mind sacrificing a few buildings to relieve the traffic on those long street it might make getting around slightly easier.
