Ugh...the Red Sux, I mean Sox lost another one. This time it was to....Baltimore.... I really don't get what is going on with them right now. Its obvious that they are lacking some of their key players still, but I mean really, come on. They are in a tight race right now for the Wild Card (Division spot is shot to hell I think). I think I expected to see much more effort from them. they just don't seem to be playing like a team that wants to move forward, very sad.

The Os are a decent team but thier record dont show it this year.

they have been on roll since they got the new manager  Buck Showalter .

At Least my rangers are still in control of the AL west. after going 4-6 in thier last 10.

I called it i don't see them making the playoffs, they are taking a nosedive 9 game losing strek is the longest since 2003 for them. After all they are the weakest among MLB division leaders. Gotta hope for the wildcard now the Giants and Dodgers and Rockies will not go away easily.

The Red Sox continue to falter. They just lost both double header games to the White Sox. It will be nothing short of amazing if they go on to the post season, but I'm not holding my breath.

The Cubs open interleague play on May 20 with a three-game series in Boston. The Cubs last played at Fenway Park in the 1918 World Series -- they also played regular-season games at Fenway against the Boston Braves in 1914-15, STATS LLC said.

 

Nearly 100 years since they last played each other i wonder how many other teams haven't played each other in a super long time. Interleague play began in 1997 so considering there are 30 teams and they play 2 teams a year, it should take 15 years for one complete cycle. Meaning  2 years remainding before a full cycle.

Hmm not sure thats true.

A lot of the interleauge games are the same every year.

IE Rangers/Astros Mets/Yankees, Cubs/Whitesoxs, to name a few play a series at each other every year.

Fills the seats to have these local rivalrys play evey year.

Mabey the rangers are wierd  heres thier Interleauge teams they played

Astros, Cubs, Pirates,Marlins, Brewers.

The Bucs are on a fast track to losing 100 games this year... not to mention setting a new record for the least amount of road wins in a season. The current record is 17 games. They now have only 15 road wins for the season. Could this mean they have hit rock bottom and the only way to go is up?

Time will tell. Thank goodness hockey season starts soon.

After visiting Cincinnati, I'm going to go ahead and just root for the Reds for the remainder of the season.

Still talking about the Mets with that last one? Or is that a reference to the Tigers, who were still 5 games ahead of the Twins at this time last year, if I am recalling things correctly?

About the whole Red Sox playing the Cubs thing....it seems that there are some team match-ups that really just happen once in a blue moon. For instance, the Sox almost always play Atlanta, Philly, or Arizona during interleague play. However, there are some teams like San Fran, LA Dodgers, Pittsburgh, and the Cubs which hardly ever, if at all get to play against Boston. I was very excited this past spring to see the Sox play both LA and SF, simply because it is such a rare occurance.

Giants up 8-2 in the 5th if they win they will be in 1st place for the first time since May, Looks like the Padres will miss the playoffs i'm still sticking with the Giants in the NL West!
