Region update:

Today the UCDOT Has announced the building of a new RHW on Pheonix Island called...

They have two proposals:

Red is proposal 1, purple is proposal 2, and black will defiinetly be built. Here is a view of Tempe and Pheonix, which shows each plan:


The reason why this is being built is because people from the Southern Islands who go up into North Phonix and Boston hate watiting in the traffic jams of Pheonix. This was declared today.What do you simtropians think of it?

Today's story is about this guy who kijacks a bus and kills all the childern on it. He kills the bus driver in an alleyway and takes over the bus:

The childern think that she called in him to replace her, but this was wrong, for he was drving toward the bridge:


On the bridge, someone asked:
[Kid named Carl]Hey where are you taking us?
[Driver]You shut your (Profanity) mouth, and you say one more(Profanity) thing, I am driving this bus off a bridge

He parks at a vacant shop, and they all disappear into it:

At 6pm that night, he drove the bus onto the MIT. Soon aftter, cops started chasing after him

Finally, he shouted this out to the childrn on the bus:
[Driver]Allright, all you (Profanity) childern say your last (Profanity) prayers, for this is the end of your(Profanity) lives. Now DIE DIE DIE DIE!!
He drove them into a truck, and the engine exploeded. Out of the 52 childern on board, 5 survived. A memorial to the dead was erected in the park

Here is the current construction site. Railways and roads had to be diverted. Tomorrow, Hwy 65(Going through the picture) will be closed to make a new overpass and will remain closed for other repairs until Next Monday.

Today I am going to hold updates on Mountain Island. First of all, I made a map(used region census) of the region's highways(Click for full resolution)

First of all, Newark has expanded greatly since the last update-many people are refugees from the civil war in Vensulola. Government officals predict Newark will become a Metrotroplis in a couple of years.

The town of Red Mountain has overcome it's origins as a farming town with the extension of the MIT and is now a tourist destination:

The all new Champions Offices building in Southville. It is a sign of a change from Farming economy to business:

Looks like the bridge maintenance crews have their work cut out for them keeping all the bridges painted and inspected. Nice work in connecting all the cities together. It's nice to see the farms also.

tonight I put into the new CJ section a special extension CJ that will focus on Paridise Island. It is going to be an extension to this CJ since I can't focus on it here. @riiga: The reason I don't have the latest NAM and RHW is because my computer is picky when I want to download large files(I.E:I tried need4camaro's sign pack-took about 10 tries)

Today, update on the PBT:

The Tempe consturction site. The new overpass is complete.A connection between highways 65 and the PBT is being started. It will consist of a double T-interchange with a toll plaza in between:

Up in pheonix, a toll gantry is being constructed near the village of Pheonix Mountain. It will consist of(Each side) 2 lanes for plaza, and 2 for ez-pass:

The exit surving the village is completed:

The current construction site in Pheonix. The tollway here is going to take about 5 weeks at Max because of the mountains and changes in elevation. The visitor center for Pheonix Lakes is at right:

Nice... I love the roadgeekery, the custom interchanges, and the signs. The only thing I'd fix with some of the roads is the steep grades/slopes. Some would say to use a slope mod, though I usually just smooth the steep grades by laying railroad tracks and then bulldozing them and putting the roads there.

Phase 1 is complete. So far, here it is:

Further north in Pheonix, the interchange with Hwy 56 is going to be a cloverleaf. I have put part of it in to show what it will look like:

You always seem to come up with very creative interchanges. However, on the second picture, the one way roads on the bottom right tollbooth don't match up. You might be seeing some very nasty crashes!

Things in Boston have been changing a lot. For one, a lot of wealthy people have moved out, moving to the mainland and Paridise Island due to high cost of housing:

But on the other hand, things are looking up. For example Allenburd Ave is for travelers, with motels, fast-food places, and strip malls to get all neccessities for a trip.

In addition, UCDOT has been given a regional office in Boston:

Update on Newark. Let's appluade as Newark has built it's first skyscraper, the Spire Banks Inc building, moldeled after earth architecture:

Like Boston, Pheonix has changed ever since I started this CJ. On the east side of Bridge Island, a service station for passerby has been built:

Just yestarday, the Pheonix Sports and Convention complex was opened. Parking lots have been completed as well:

Just outside the village of Pheonix Mountain, a new industrial park has grown. I want you STians to make a name to make an Ad for it. The winning one I will present in the city-building concepts section:

And lastly, Pheonix Mountain, which is a quiet little town bordering the PBT. There are plans to build a UCCRL station here since it is a town on it's own:
