La Tragedie de Salome - Florent Schmitt.

Poor girl. They had stupid teen-agers in ancient times too.

Ever see Best in Show?

Yes. It is a riot. I love parody. I also love dogs. Miss my last pair I had to give up when I moved. They now live in Cleveland.

Currently hearing: Ancient Airs and Dances - Ottorino Respighi.

Why Don't You And I by Santana featuring Alex Band

This song was originally done by Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), but Roadrunner (Nickelback's label) wouldn't allow it to be released so Chad Kroeger reccomended Alex Band to re-do the song.

Kashmir-Led Zepplin live 1979

Oh let the sun beat down upon my face

Stars to fill my dreams

I am a traveler of both time and space

To be where I have been

Secret elders of the gentle race

This world is seldom seen

They talk of days for which they sit and wait

All will be revealed

Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace

Whose sounds caress my ear

But not a word I heard could I relate

The story was quite clear

Symphony No. 4 in E-flat Major - Anton Bruckner. - Raffi Armenian conducting.

I used to know Maestro Armenian. He was the music director at Centre in the Square (Kitchener/Waterloo) when I worked at U of W.

Dj Hostile

"Hostile/Fury-We Shufflin"

Music Choice Mixtape

2011

It is some sort of remix mixtape combining a lot of good songs in "musica urbana" genre (reggaeton, pop latino, electroníco, hip-hop/rap). It has a bunch of major songs and Mr. Saxofreak and Big Spender.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

The Protomen are an indie rock band whose music is somewhat inspired by the classic Mega Man video games. There are a lot of video game remix bands, like the Megas, who do direct covers of soundtracks. But these guys are REALLY good. Not only do they have talent, but also high production standards. Their second album is essentially at a mainstream level of quality in sound.

This song is my personal favorite, I bought it on itunes as well.

Now I am listening to a Lily Allen playlist. It is a playlist so I cannot post it as a video. Some of her songs have swearing.

Here is the link: Lilly Allen YouTube playlist

By the way, may I embed a video from that playlist where the title has a moderately strong word but the lyrics have no strong words at all and the video does not display the title? The song is not listed as explicit. I will be cautious because I was given a 10% warning and 2 week suspension for posting a video with the screen cap showing the title of a song with a moderately strong word but the song had no strong words, not even the title.

I assume the opposite is a no-no, such as digging up an old video of GWB before the rename where about 1/4 of the song is an f word.

Previous: A-Ha - Take On Me

Current: Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight

Next: Toto - Hold the Line

Yeah, I'm in an 80's mood.

EDIT: Okay, MASSIVE props to hamsterTK for bringing up The Protomen!

I will be critical of just posting "Light Up the Night", though... that song is awesome, however it is decidedly less so out of context. Act II is one of those albums that just cannot be taken a la carte. Gotta listen to the whole thing to properly experience it.

Currently listning to a Canadion band called Four90East. The reason I'm listening to them is because a good number of songs seem to be city-inspired. Heck, 1 of them is called 'Bumper to bumper' as well! I think Buggi should enlist these guys to make music for Boomtown. :P
