This is the theme song to the 2009 anime movie "Uchū Senkan Yamato:  Fukkatsu Hen" (「宇宙戦艦ヤマト　復活編」"Space Battleship Yamato:  Resurrection"), and is a cover of the original 1974 anime song made famous by Sasaki Isao.

 

In a bizarre coincidence, the history channel I left my TV on is showing some documentary on the naval Pacific War featuring the old IJN superbattleship Yamato.  I swear, it wasn't on purpose...I was looking at LEGO Titanics on YouTube, and they led to a LEGO Yamato, which then led to the anime...  How ever it happened, with this song power blasting electric guitars, I'm ready to don my hachimaki and fly my Black Tiger kamikaze space fighter squadron into advancing alien space carriers!

Edwin Dolinski: Chain Reaction. The SC4 OST is worth listening to, and this is one of the funkiest tunes I've ever heard. :P

 

Also watching 24: live antoher day se: 3 ep: 9, only because I heard a rumor that Oasis was in it. ;)
