Plus Korot has been on top of that a lot as well. With he and BL both manning the crow's nest so to speak, we have been pretty good.

2743. I know of the super bowl, but I have no interest in it.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

The super bowl ads are starting to get a little clichè now. GoDaddy does the "too hot for TV, go to our website to watch the rest" thing. E*Trade has talking babies. Doritos does random weird stuff. Little more creativity, please?

The house made of budweiser cans was original, though.

2750. New Orleans Saints defeated Indianapolis Colts 31-17.

This statistic means absolutely nothing to me, but other people may find it of interest.

In other sporting news, Queensland is 4/185 playing Tasmania in Hobart, having won the toss and electing to bat, with W. J. Townsend on 108 and C. D. Hartley on 50.

Disney World is fun as a kid, but as an adult you start to realize that there's really nothing special or different about it compared to any other amusement park and it's basically just a huge overpriced tourist trap. At this point I have no desire to ever go back there.

I went to Disney World & Land when I was pretty young. Not much of a memory. I get to Kennywood every couples of years. There are great coasters there. Hershey Park reminds me a lot of Kennywood, great park as well. I remember being at Knott's Berry Farm when I was young. Oh, my, it looks like I'm starting to list things...

I get the feeling I've done this before, but here we go....

Kennywood - West Mifflin, PA

Cedar Point - Sandusky, OH

Hershey Park - Hershey, PA

Knott's Berry Farm - Buena Park, CA

Disneyland - Anaheim, CA

Disney World - Lake Buena Vista, FL

Dollywood - Pigeon Forge, TN

Australia's Wonderland - Sydney, Australia (now Wonderland Sydney)

Idlewild Park - near Ligonier, PA

Listing the amusment parks we've been to? Okay.

Sea World, Orlando, FL (don't remember it, I was less than 2 years old at the time)

Disney World, Orlando, FL (three times, but was too young to remember the first one)

Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster, PA (went on my first ever rollercoaster ride here)

Busch Gardens Africa, Tampa, FL (twice)

Busch Gardens Europe, Williamsburg, VA

Six Flags Great Adventure, Monmouth Co., NJ

Six Flags Elitch Gardens, Denver, CO

Six Flags New England, Longmeadow, MA

That should cover the permanent installations, at least. I was at a county fair near Cleaveland, OH once, which was interesting. They don't have those around here.

The curious thing is that the two closest amusement parks to where I live (Playland, Rye, NY and Lake Compounce, Bristol, CT), I've never been to. Never went to Astoland while it was still open, either.
