On another note: I play Wii Sports sitting down, and just use a flick of the wrist for the motions rather than making full motions as if i'm actually throwing a baseball or whatnot. I get made fun of for this.

Is it really that strange?

Personally, I think playing video games standing up flailing your arms all over the place is strange. But that seems to be what people expect for some reason...

3126. I wouldn't know, but it sounds like something I'd do. I'd only do the standing up/flailing around stuff if I wanted to pretend I was doing actual exercise.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

I can play almost everything sitting down. Wii fit would be the obvious exception 3.gif
Wiis are alright, but the game selection is filled with tons of bad games that are just basically more versions of wii sports. Of course there are some gems here and there.

I personally don't want to see gaming turn into body motion or mind reading. I like pushing buttons, k? Not to say I don't excersise (I do plenty)

I don't know what to put here anymore.

3130. There are a few games that look worthwhile, but i own a Ps3 and everything about it i like plus games like MLB 09 The Show and Uncharted 2 show that no other console can compare. The graphics on the Wii are not too impressive to me, i like games like Mw2 so the Wii aims towards a much younger crowd. Also i can''t stand the controller i love my Ps3 controller because it does not feel too light and i am used to it. And it is reliable something the Xbox 360 is not.

Graphics are only one part I look at in games, I consider music, storyline, gameplay, etc. But I do consider graphics. Though I must admit the PS3 and XBOX versions of Sonic Unleashed were WAAAAY better than the Wii/PS2 versions (though the wii/PS2 vesions didn't use the Hedgehog Game Engine). Super Mario Galaxy had some great graphics though, and great music and gameplay.

As for the controllers, I prefer using the gamecube controller on the wii as much as possible. Or the horizontal Wii remote config, and the remote+nunchuck, but I only use upright wii remote w/o anything attached if I have to.

I don't know what to put here anymore.

3133 - I can stand having bad graphics as long as the gameplay is good, and I have gotten so desperate for gameplay that I am playing text only games just to have fun (also, if the graphics are too good I can't play the game!). Also, I can't stand console games, I can only play PC games.

Oh and since music was brought up by Vince, I absolutely dont care one bit about it.

I judge video games a little bit on graphics, but mostly playtivity. I hate sitting there, hitting buttons. That is why the Wii is so cool. Also, just an added comment, Mario and Slnic Sonic and the Winter Olympic Games(what a mouthful) and Super Mario Galaxy are the best video games ever!

    EDIT: Almost forgot. 3133

Indeed. Graphics? Bah. So long as they don't make your eyes bleed and you can see what's what, they mean nothing.

I will grant you that the Wiimote is a bad controller for doing stuff that isn't based around the sixaxis motion-sensor functionality. Which is why... I don't use it in those cases! Brawl? Gamecube controller. Tatsunoko vs Capcom? Gamecube controller. Megaman 9? Classic Controller (I'd use the Gamecube controller if the game would let me!).

Of course, this won't work too well for you if you didn't have a Gamecube and thus don't have those controllers still lying around. But you can find them used pretty easily, at least.

Granted, if you're looking to play "M for Mature" sort of games, you're not going to find any on the Wii... but still, there are plenty of great games out there that don't involve blood and gore, and there's no reason why you can't have more than one. I have both a GameCube and a PS2...

And yeah, what games are for it is always ultimately the clincher. I would go out and get a PS3 or Xbox 360 if there was a game exclusively for it that I really wanted to play... but such is not the case. I thus have no desire for either at this point in time.

I always liked the PS2 controller. But I went through a ton of them because they always seemed to break.

As far as games for the Wii go, I'm not too worried about it. I don't have the time to play much more than what I have. (Wii Fit, and Sports) I wouldn't mind playing the MarioKart game, or maybe the Zelda. Although a Zelda game means I won't get anything accomplished for 6 weeks. Maybe more.

3144. By the time I was old enough that I was introduced to video games, the N64 was obsolete.

Your friend's 2D PS1 game is one of four, most likely: Megaman 8, Megaman X4, Megaman X5, and Megaman X6.

What's interesting is that your 3D N64 game is actually a port of a PS1 game. Megaman Legends came out in 1998. It was ported to the N64 as Megaman 64 two years later, in 2000. That was the only Megaman game ever released for the N64. Nintendo still using cartriges while Sony used discs (much cheaper and easier to make) led Capcom to release basically everything for the Playstation in that era.

I like any kind of racing game. But I prefer a more realistic racing game like Gran Turismo or Need 4 Speed. Test Drive 5 was a pretty good one too. Mario Kart is fun on mutiplayer battle mode.
