Just came back from the orthodontist.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Lunch - Day 1 of the 1st Ashes Test in Brisbane.

England 2/86 of 26.0 overs - Scorecard

England's captain Andrew Strauss got out third ball to a wide delivery, caught in the gully. But England managed to recover to 86 with the loss of only two wickets. It is about honours even at the lunch break. Play will resume in about 15 minutes.

I will most likely drop out of the final bumrush so as to avoid being part of the inevitable overflow.

(though, we are going to move those posts to the new thread, right?)

That would probably take a while. I thought the plan was to lock and pin this thread, and start anew.

We'd best think up a plan fast, we only have 140 posts remaining.

The problem is this: if we don't move the excess posts over and count them towards to total of the new thread, then we let them fall into limbo and count towards neither. We also throw the logic of "just add 10,000 to the number for the overall total" awry.

Ideally, what would happen is that as soon as the staff recognizes that post 10,000 has been made, this thread is locked, and a new thread is created purely out of any excess posts. Post 10001 becomes post 1, post 10002 becomes post 2, etc. This creates the most seamless transition possible, keeping everything in order and cleanly clicking over after the mark is reached.

It's over 9864!

I just saw a movie now I am watching a Disney movie on the family channel.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Its called "Submerged" When i picked it up i was thinking die hard on a sub, sadly it was nothing of the sort it was filmed in Bulgari, but yet they claimed it was Uruguay which they got sued over for portraying them as so croupt, the whole thing with the submarine lasted about 10 mins. Seagal's voice was dubbed the entire movie, and some wack storyline about mind control that made no sence.

I'm a big fan of Steven Seagal, he is my favorite actor but come on mind control???? Get real once in a while he has a gem but for every gem (Urban Justice, Under Seige, Hard to kill, Exit wounds, The forghinor, Black Dawn, The Patroit, Into the sun) He has twice the wack movies (Out for a Kill, Out of Reach, Kill Swich, Shadow man, Today you die, Belly of the beast) So its take your chance with him 75% of my DVD collection is by him 3.gif  I've only skipped two movies he was in cause they look sooo bad that one about vampires and attack force i don't do horror. He has had 4 movies come out this year alone ( The keeper, A Dangerous Man, Machate, Born to rasie hell) talk about being busy only one made the thearter, you really need to dig to find the rest.

I think I've figured out my texture problem. I didn't have a UVW map. Now I just need to figure out how to apply that properly and I'll be all set.

Wouldn't we need to first make the first post of the new thread before we're able to move an carry-overs?

I don't think there've a button here for "Move posts for new thread." Unless we started it, moved the posts, and then deleted the post we used to start the thread.

Hmm... this is a shortcoming of the forum software. I suppose moving the overflow posts to after the new OP is a good option, even if not ideal.

Although, there is another effective albeit inelegant solution: simply delete all the overflow posts.

And Larks, we decided a while back that we're starting over at 1 in a new thread.

Deleting the overflow would work, but then comes the matter of who starts the next thread. I have the idea that after the overflow of, "10,000!!! WHOOO!!!!" There'll be an overflow of, "New 10,000 post thread!! WHoo!! (REAL ONE!!!!)" and that kind of stuff...would we just go with who ever's is the oldest then?

It's not starting over like it meant nothing, if we were to continue this thread, it'd take forever to load. And if we start a new one, the first post of that thread isn't that threads 10,001th post. It'd be the 10,001th post overall for both threads, and it's not that hard to add that in your head to figure out what the total is.
