Your friendly neighbourhood precipitate begs to differ.quote>

Ester quite interesting field, chemistry, although I do admit I am sometimes out of my element in it.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

Does your friendly neighbourhood precipitate also fight crime? Cuz it'd be pretty cool if it did. 3.gif

Yes, this is kitty.

That was a pretty tense game between Michigan and Illinois. Turns out that game has the highest combined score for the whole Big 10.

I went to my great uncle's funeral today. I only blew my nose because I have been sick. The funeral was not all that sad. The only part that made me cry was "Who Shall I Send/Here I am, Lord" which is a song that always makes me cry because I am not that religious (I consider myself agnostic but I go to church when asked and I take Eucharist when I do so).

EDIT: I pray and go to church but I feel no presence. I am Catholic in every sense except for the fact that I feel no presence. I know that Jesus lived and was crucified, even if there were not (the truckloads of) historical evidence, I still believe in Jesus. I just do not feel the presence of any higher powers. I do not believe that monsters or ghosts exist. I do not believe in the paranomal or occult but I only partially believe in the Spiritual/Religious. The fact that the best people I know (everyone I knew who died was better than a saint) died of cancer (and some of them never smoked or worked in factories), and there is only one person left alive that I know and/or am related to that can be considered anything close to a saint and she suffered from horrible complications of a simple surgury. What if the second coming came and past and we are all living in Hell and we have no idea?

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

Yeah, um... you probably shouldn't do that. It's a major violation of church etiquette to be recieving communion if you are not a practicing member of the faith.

It is? Interesting... well, when the choice is between breaching church etiquette and having to face uncomfortable questions from my parents, I know which one I choose.

As someone who spent quite a few years as an uber-Catholic, I can tell you that it is a major sin to receive the Eucharist if you aren't a practicing member of the faith. Anyone who isn't allowed, for lack of a better term, to receive communion (missed the previous mass or isn't a Christian) is supposed to sit through the sacrament. There's nothing wrong with that and no one should ask any questions. In fact, I often had to sit there because I missed a mass and I got no questions or looks. In conclusion, I strongly advise against receiving the Eucharist if you do not consider yourself totally a member of a faith that includes that particular sacrament. It is looked upon harshly to do so if you don't.

Well this is bloody BS.  The post order is all bollocksed up.  And I got PFBed.  This stinks.

[That's where I come in the next morning to do, clean this mess up. 3.gif ]

Unwise, due to the lag issues we're already starting to get into. Better to start a second thread.

I would even go so far as to cut this one off at exactly 10,000 and move any "overflow" posts over to the new thread, for the sake of keeping things neat.

I'd like to think my religious/spirtual beliefs were kinda complex to explain, so that'll be my excuse to not share them with everyone over a post. 3.gif But I am Catholic and go to church every so often.

Is probably possible, but at some point a thread would end for some reason or another, so Im going to say no.

I think when we reach 10,000, why do we have to stop there??? we can just change to title to 25,000 and have that as our next target. Anyone else like this plan?

EDIT, thanks for the warning duke..
