I prefer honey but failing to find that, I will settle for Stevia, Turbanado Sugar, Sucralose, or Refined Sugar--usually sucralose, sometimes white sugar. I am allergic to Aspartame and Saccharin and my test showed inconclusive for refined white sugar (though negative to all other cane sugar products).

As far as I know, I'm not allergic to anything. And some chemicals make good additions to foods - CH₃OOH_(aq) and 3-carboxy-3-hydroxypentanedioic acid lend a nice flavour to many things. And sodium hydrogen carbonate helps make quite nice baked goods. Could someone pass the NaCl, and may I please have a glass of dihydrogen monoxide?

Pure water has no taste at all - you expect one, and it's not there, which may lead to a sense that it tastes bad. I suppose cytolysis is possible if you drank enough completely pure water. Hypotonic solutions can do that, and completely pure water is hypotonic to everything.

And Firefox's dictionary doesn't include hypotonic. Interesting.
