Welcome to the Building Requests Filled sticky. This is a special, low-use thread that has one purpose: To log what requested buildings BAT users have started on, and when they have been completed.

 

REQUESTERS: DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT POST REQUESTS IN THIS THREAD. This is a log for building projects taken on by BAT users, and to log when they are complete, not for requests. If I find any requests in here, I will delete them. If they are for buildings that have been requested before, I'll simply delete the request. If they are requests for new buildings, I'll PM the author with the contents of the post, and ask that they repost in the correct thread. Check this forum for BUILDING REQUEST FILLED: <building name> threads to track the progress and make comments on requested buildings that BAT users are working on.

 

BAT USERS: If you have the time, please scan the Official BAT Request thread periodically, and look through the Building Request Poll threads that I will be posting every so often (please don't post them yourself, I'll post and sticky them periodically myself). If you START working on a requested building, please post here, and name the building, guess and specify how long you think it will take to complete, and if you wish, post progress reports here. Also, start a BUILDING REQUEST FILLED: <building name> thread in this forum, and log your progress there. When you complete the building, post here and note the name of the building, and if possible, post a link to the building in the BEX.

 

This thread is intended to be low use, and generally just a log for reference. Before you post a request, check here to see if someone has started or even completed the building your requesting. DO NOT POST REQUESTS HERE. There is no gurantees that all requested buildings will be made. The most frequently requested buildings are the most likely, so if you really like a building, go post a request for it in the official request thread, or find one of the request polls, and vote for the next one you want made.

I wouldn't normally be working on more than one project at a time.  However, I can only get the polygon count so high (around 40k or so) here at work before it becomes impossible to work with.  Then I am limited to my free time at home to complete the model.

I'm going to give Late May as a completion date as I don't have a lot of free time and I'm still trying to master gmax.

EDIT:  The Theme Building has been put on hold for the time as my computer is having problems with gmax and I am working 6 days a week so there is no time to work on it or diagnose what is wrong.

um..yea well i didnt want to say anything but.. im putting that on hold..the computer that i have the BAT on is not technically mind.. so somethign happend awhile back.. i was probably about umm i would say 60% done with it.. then BOOM! the unthinkable happen..the computer crashed and lots of things where working.. one was SC4 and the BAT.. i LOST my taipei.gmax file..it got corrupted or something..all i know was i couldnt open it.. i FLIPED!! OUT.. i couldnt believe it..it was so hard but ..things happen.. so i decided to take a break from everything.. now i am working on the new update version of my Sears Tower.. as most of you know it didnt come out that that perfect.. and i felt it wasnt the greatest..now it stands at 1700+downloades..what encouraged me to do this was Rubiks WTC..i was amazed!! in only a short time it reached over 2000+ downloades!!! i was like oh my god.. thats what jump started me to make a even better version of the sears tower.. so as i speak that is what im doing.. hehehe.. i will (hopfully) upload it within 2-3 days 4 the longest..it will have way!!!!!! better texture and detail..i will make a entrance aswell just like the real one..and its goign to have WAYY better nite lights.. and i fixed the shadow problem the first one had.. hopfuly if everyone that has downloaded it before..downloades it again! that is going to put it at 3400+++!!! downloads!! in a short time (i hope) out beating the WTC LOL!! after i am done with this..i will start from scratch on the Taipei 101 ...i know its sad i know.. the taipei 101 was and is very hard to make..unless someone outbeats me and brings out he taipei before i do then everythign is ok lol..if someone makes it first then that will be ok too hehe

A few more requests I (and a few others) have made that I am filling myself in the coming months:

 

HSBC Arena, Buffalo, NY (home of the NHL Buffalo Sabres)- Anticipated late April.

 

City Hall w/ Niagara Square, Buffalo, NY - Anticipated late April to early May.

 

NH State House, Concord, NH - Anticipated mid-late May

 

I will be posting progress in the pertinent threads I will create when I really get going on these projects.

OK folks.

Ol' GrampaAl has a request for you outstanding BAT creators.

I would like to see a collection of Log Homes. Large, small and in between.

These homes should have doors, windows, and lighting.

However, they should not include decks, chimneys, porches or railings. Those items should be separate props.

We could use a collection of props to go along with these as well.

Chimneys, stove pipes, decks, railings, and other things you might see either attached to or part of a log home or surrounding it on a lot.

The more items we have the more interesting lots we can create.

I especially would like to see a field stone chimney made of large and interesting field stones.

Anyone for stained glass panels for the Front door? If you make one, could it be a separate prop that could be just fitted on the door rather than part of the door it self. Rather like those store fronts.

YES MOST CERTAINLY!!!!!!!!! you can take over.. shoooottt!! i wish i didnt delete the folder with all the pics and the gmax file.. i could have handed it over to you..but sorry i deleted everything..BUT if you need some help.. let me know! i can get ya pics and specs on the floor and everything! ...PM me ..

i will not start on them again..nor anythign else.. main reason being is im just to busy and im starting to hate the program.. plus this isnt my computer soi cant be on it 24/7 AND (lol) this computer is too slow to render things and i dont have a AGP card so when the polygons start going up in numbers..it runs super slow!!!

It has already been started, and as soon as it is finished this beautiful building will be available for the entire Simtropolis community.
