Sorry, I could not find this anywhere.

Does zoning bigger farms have any benefit, as it seems that giant farms provide as many jobs as small farms.

The number of jobs a farm provides isn't what maxis says it is. For example, pumpkin acres claims to only employ 2 people but if you use the transportation query tool you'll notice there are a lot mroe than 2 people commuting into it everyday.

To answer your question, yes bigger farms do employ more people. I used to make huge farms where I'd avoid having streets in between by just zoning several boxes right next to each other and they'd employ 1000+ sims, even though maxis said they only employed 2. If you want to see how many sims are employed in your farms, check the "jobs and pop" tab in the graphs.

Try CAM, it increases the stage that R C I and AG can reach. Download as many buildings as you want but you MUST get the dependencies, otherwise you grow boxes :-P

CAM :- https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1008

There is not much of a selection with the default farm lots.  A couple of grain elevators is just about the extent of "big".

SimGoober released a re-lot of the Maxis farms that greatly increase the variety of available buildings - I think it's called the Rural Development set but search for farms on the STEX and you're sure to find it. I don't think it has any dependencies.

edit:  I was wrong - the set is called Rural Variety and it was lotted by ihaka.  Here's a link:

There are several other farm and rural development downloads available.
