defcon pilot | Sex Ed? I've heard of that... Most of the idiots at my school say that they teach you how to do it in that class. 17.gif
quote> They do! The purpose of sexual education is to teach you how to have sex, make sure you know the dangers of having sex, how the sex organs work, and how to.. umm.. 'releive' yourself properly.1.gif You get practice condoms in the end. yay, leniency!
quote>
condoms....

I learned about sex at a young age and even in school they thought us young....

I learned in school in 5th grade. Then again in 7th for a month and they don't teach it anymore at my old high school.....

I never got a condom...maybe the US education system decided its better to not even bother giving out condoms and let us see if we learned anything....

defcon started it..22.gif

Hmm..

Biker gangs have been turning out at the funerals of soldiers in opposition to anti-gay pastor Fred Phelps (he's insane.)

Who says bikers never do any good for society?

Phelps thinks the soldiers are dying because America tolerates homosexuality, and it's Gods punishment. The man really is an ...orifice. 30.gif

A Pro-Life shirt? I came out with a Clash, London Calling shirt!

I knew we were opposites.

Anyways. I'm getting the feeling that my grade 9 art teacher is either bisexual or a metrosexual. He has a girlfriend, but shows homosexual tendencies. He's also one of the best teachers I had.

Art Class = strange

My art teacher was a.. what the french call chienne.. very mean, and vegan too. Couldnt lift things that weighed more than a textbook.

The other art teacher looked like Rosie ODonnel. He was a guy, too.18.gif

Could be worse. My first time through university was for music education. Better than half the professors in the college of music were flamboyantly gay. I always had the sneaking suspicion we were being groomed for careers on Broadway or something.

Wish I'd had a gay male teacher in high school, though. Would have been easier to talk to than the school shrink. (The only out teacher on campus was the gym coach, who bore an uncanny resemblance to G.I. Jane...if Demi More had been twenty years older and a hundred pounds more muscular in the film. Frightening.)

Not to get off topic (like we have one around here, anyway) but does anyone have an opinion on Brokeback Mountain? I've been putting off seeing it because it stars Heath Ledger, but all the positive buzz is making me curious.

You can pray for muscles!! cheesy1ql.gif

I haven't seen brokeback mountain either, people I know that have say it's a good movie. It doesnt show anything though. 15.gif

The fact that Jake Gyllenhaal is in it makes up for the fact the Heath Ledger is in it.1.gif

But he really should try working out. Better chance of getting results.

I'm not entirely sure that JG is going to save the film. Heath Ledger is...ugh. The only movie in which I enjoyed his performance was The Patriot, but only because his character gets stabbed to death.

I hear it's good, but I haven't seen it. In fact, no one in my class has, so I guess it doesn't appeal to testosterone-filled jocks (they make up nearly all my class). 9.gif

You referring to me?? Or to the supposed statistic that states 1 in 10 people are gay??

Because if that's true, then 2 people will want to see it. We have about 20-24 per class. 19.gif

It is one of the movies that people want to see, if only to see what all the fuss is about.

The mountains are beautiful.  Excellent shots of the great outdoors.  When it was over, I just kinda stared at the screen for a while.

Thoroughout the movie, one thought kept going through my head:  Do people really live like this?.  and I didn't mean the relationship between the two men.  I meant everything else that was going on.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis
