A Real bad problem

 I have both the bullet train mod and the high speed rail. I went onto the game having installed them and whatnot.

The attached picture shows what has gone wrong.

I have uninstalles HSR and the problem stayed the same.

I then went to try to delete the files diarectly but the computer says that they cannot be found.

I am really panicking, i dont want to have to get rid of all the monorails. 

I just want monorails now, dont want any addons for them.

can someone help

Maybe there's something wrong in the NAM, you can try with uninstalling NAM and reinstall it.

I don't think it could be that because it only happened after i installed BTM and HSR and as far as i know there is no compatibility issues

So your posted image is after you uninstalled the HSR mod? Looks like you've still got HSR textures. You might search your plugins for anything with GSHR or HSR in the file name. Also, since you mentioned you had both HSR and BTM, did you also have the BTM-HSR patch installed? If so, did you also delete that from your plugins. You don't need it if you don't have both mods. I don't know what the effects are from having it if not needed, but might be something to check.

Also, if you want both the BTM and HSR mods, you do need the patch. And you might try to rename the BTM folder with a couple 'zzz's in front so that it loads after NAM. Just a thought...

no reason to panic. worst case, you have to redraw the monorail lines. if the HSR textures are showing, there is still and HSR file in your plugins.

It seems you have the old HSRP by 3ddz, this replaces the monorail. You must use the newer HSRP, then you get Monorail, HSRP and GHSR (Ground version of HSRP) if you have the BTM installed, as the BTM replaces monorail and so does the old HSRP so there both replacing the same thing and you'll get conflicts.

I take it you have the BTM off the STEX? When you remove the old HSRP and install the new one you'll need to install the BTM patch for HSRP (uploaded by Haljackey to the STEX)

Ok so i redraw the lines and it works!!!

However a new problem has arose.

In picture one, why have i still got monorail on transport crossings- is there a patch for it on the stex???

in picture two, item one is there any way to make the nam high monorail pieces have the HSR texture, and item two, why is the only transport option to have the correct textures the ground highway????? 

And i apologise for the terrible paint work but i am in a hurry

The double hieght pieces have notbeen made into HSRP, because HSRP is not designed to be used with the NAM as a replacement or monorail.

Download the one in my signature and remove the one you have at the moment. (You can tell the difference by cateneries are gone in the new version)

warrior is correct here...

the original HSRP mod by 3ddz is a replacement mod for the monorail network, and was really only released as a beta, so its not entirely complete. this is why you are getting some texture reversions back to monorail.

remove the HSRP mod currently in your plugins completely, then download the new version. it is an override network for monorail, so you can use both at the same time. as warrior said, the new HSRP does not have catenaries, so this is a visual way to tell you have the correct version.

edit for another thought: both the original HSRP (you currently have) and the BTM are monorail replacement mods, so they are not compatible together in any way.  the only way to use both is to use the new HSRP along with the BTM patch file.....

They are not in my plugins folder, i think you had to install them but i do not know where they installed to. So i cant either delete them or uninstall it .

I would just like my monorails back, they worked and cant redraw some of the monorails because the HSR has made it so corners have to be wider

you wont get your monorails back until you remove the conflicting mods.

I would happily remove the mods but i do not no where they are, i do not no where they installed too. They aren't in the plug ins or the add/remove programs menu.

A couple suggestions...

Check the Program Files plugins folder. You may have put them there. Or, if you have a lot of plugins, you can remove a few plugins at a time and see when the textures are gone from the city. You can narrow it down from there. Also, all of the original beta files by 3ddz start with 'hsrp' (at least the ones I have do), so doing a Search on your drive or specific plugin folders should bring them up. Just a thought...

when i try to delete any of the folders in drive c using the search you suggested it comes up with an error message, of which i could not copy the text so i uploaded a picture specially for you:-)

What was the term you were searching for? After looking at your picture, I'm assuming you have Vista? To be honest, I haven't used Vista enough to fully understand the meaning behind that error message you got. Does it mean the file was there but is now somewhere else, or it's not anywhere? Perhaps not being able to delete files has something to do with the permissions on the user account you're using... just a wild guess...

Hopefully some one more familiar with Vista stops by to offer a better explanation...

Recently I faced the same problem and I was wondering if you are still

unable to delete the folder. I finally succeeded in deleting the folders by

opening a command prompt, then used the dir /x command to get the 8.3 name of

the directory and then used the rd command with the 8.3 name of the

undeletable folder and it vanished!
