Me in Game on 2.0 (Athens 2010), playing Simcity (1989) :)

Would have been more challenging if you excluded the gargoyles, or whatever they're called when it's an eagle on an art deco building.

I almost wrote "gaygoyles".

Geez duke, of all the robot masters, you had to go as cut man, and squeeze into spandex :nyah:

But no seriously, I bet that was fun.

I must be getting old. You look about six years old in that picture.

That pretty much sums me up.

^ Neat. Is that in St. Mark's Square? What a neat place to be. Do you live there?

That's the place. Yeah, it's incredible isn't it!

Unfortunately no; I live near London and was backpacking with my friends when this was taken.

1. I prefer wearing formalwear myself so I might be biased that way but Duke, you look better with a tie than in a skin tight suit though that really shows dedication. I was planning on making an iron Minecraft suit from cardboard boxes for Sakura-con but I have to make sure I don't look like a cheap robot.

2, I think I posted my picture here already but I might upload one from my upcoming vacation.

3. The shiny metal gargoyles are so iconic that any picture containing them would be of the Chrysler Tower or copycat/ripoff/parody (Chrystal Car Tower in Liberty City, the office headquarters in SCS, etc).

4. I thought I already commented on BlondTwiggy's beauty. I will repeat now that she is pretty.

5. I went to Game2.0 as well though missed the Seattle exhibit and had to catch it at the OMSI.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

I would tend to agree, if for no other reason than that I don't have the figure for looking good in spandex. But it isn't so much about good looks as it is about effect.

The folks at the office loved it when I wore that costume to the Halloween party (yes, it made an encore appearance). I think they really admired that I was willing to do so!

Very common misconception here. Those are not gargoyles. They are falcons. Look at the picture again. ;)

This thread is neat because it reminds us all that there's an actual person behind every post submitted. Here's a self-taken shot of yours truly; hopefully it's not too boastful..

If Ocean Quigly can call teacups gargoyles, why can I not call falcons gargoyles? By the way, I thought they were eagles, shiny metal eagle gargoyles.

Here is a picture of me holding my Choco-Flan. I might share the recipe on the recipe thread.
