Time to climb into the wayback machine!

This is me from around 1981 or 1982 or so, making me around 5 or 6.  My dog had a puppy.  Kind of a mutant, he was.  Had six toes on one foot and seven on another.  3.gif

*Edit:  Zounds!  I checked the back of the picture!  1984!  Whaddya know...

meandpoody.jpg

Fast forward to 1988, in a hotel room in Evansville, Indiana for the Freedom Festival and boat race.  On the right is me.  On the left is my older brother.  In the middle...  Can't remember...  3.gif

Check out the 80's hair!  Lightning streaks!  Woo hoo!  9.gif

Last is... kinda me.  Mostly the hamster.  I have hairy legs in this pic, so it's around 1992 or so.  4.gif

You do, sort of.

Oh, and zel, maybe you have a wider monitor than I do (1280), but your pictures are sending your post into horizontal scroll mode here...2.gif

Aww, li'l Swatman...in that pic, you look a lot like my little nephew.  I call him my little nephew, he's 6'2" and weighs 220 now, but it wasn't that long ago, was it?

Ahhaha, Ian, I saw those oversize pics, but figured you'd fix 'em.  Speaking of 80's hair, or actually early 90's, when he sees a certain picture, my son always says, "Mom...I had a mullet!"  I tell him, "You wanted to look like MacGyver, so that's what the stylist did, OK?!"

Boggy, Frodo is adorable.  You guys were some cute little critters, too!

Jack Black has the nose and mouth of one of my oldest friends, who is female.  (But she doesn't look like PNF.)  His eyes are similar too, but a different color.  I know, weird, huh?  It totally freaks me out when I watch him, 'cuz they even have some of the same mannerisms, if you can believe that.  No beard, tho, thank God.

So, second time I've appeared on someone else's website (in the red shirt)

The first time was on this FNY page. Also, incidentally, in a red shirt (front and center).

There was also an article on Kotaku a few years back where I was in the picture but my face was not visible so I don't count that one.

So, in the nostalgia photo department...

family1.jpg

This picture is from my baby sister's first communion, so that dates it to spring 2000. I'm 12.

That's about the longest my hair has ever been. Around that time I was refusing to get my hair cut because... I don't really know why. I just was.

September 2002 (I'm 14). I was building bridges to nowhere before it was cool!

dscn0449vx.jpg

November 2004 (I'm 16).  That photo's kinda boring. These are more interesting:

dscn0447.jpg

Rakesaber duel!

(neither me nor my sister won. Our mother yelled at us to stop after she took those pictures)

dscn0503c.jpg

March 2005 (I'm 17). It's my cousin's birthday party. Brownies are about to vanish.

And finally... March 2006 (I'm 18). The following photos are brought to you by a shower and boredom:

dscn1090.jpg

When in doubt, make silly faces!

Well, here I am.

snapshot200912162.jpg

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

My father and I installed this crown molding in the living room several years ago:

dscn6164c.jpg

Pain in the ass to do. First of all, it's the kind you need to put blocks behind to support it because there's hollow space back there.

Secondly, it has a pattern to it... cutting the pieces so the teeth match up? Annoying.

And yes, it kinda needs to be dusted... this ceiling is about 10 feet up, the cobwebs aren't readily noticable just looking at it, and my mother can't reach it without her speial pole duster... so it doesn't get done too often.
